Papo Apatosaurus Figure

Excellent product

This is a great model. It is small, which is disappointing, but it is durable and sturdy and well-crafted. Papo makes good stuff.

I bought this for my adult daughter. She loves these Papo dinosaurs because they are so well made. This one arrived in good condition. She was not disappointed.

My son LOVES his new Apatosaurus. This brand is highly detailed, and very nicely positioned with a cool "flip" to the end of his tail, and arrived undamaged. The only drawback is if you have other species of dinosaurs made by this company, they may not be to scale with each other. However, it would be impossible, since the size differential from species to species would not allow it (one species might be the size of a loaf of bread, the other the size of your TV, if they were made to scale with each other).

This Papo Apatosaurus is approximately 16" long and 5" high.The detailing on it is excellent, like most Papo dinosaurs. However, I have two complaints about it. First, the Apatosaurus is a dinosaur icon that is known for its huge size and long neck, but the Papo Apatosaurus is not an adult, so it's smaller size sort of defeats the reason it is an icon. I would have preferred an adult Apatosaurus similar in size to the Papo Brachiosaurus. Second, it has a semi-gloss finish which gives it a waxy, toy-like finish similar to Papo's Triceratops. I would have preferred a more realistic matte finish found on Papo's Tyrannosaurus, Allosaurus and Spinosaurus.Overall, the Papo Apatosaurus is a very good model, but it could have been better.

I have been collecting Papo Dinosaurs since my wife bought my first on back in 2007. They are beautifully made and as accurate as one can be with animals no longer among us! I love this collection and the care they put into the creation of them!

Based on apatosaurus data, this model is closer in proportion to current scientific estimates. That's important to me. Bashing is not recommended, as it till ruin the integrity of the model, which offers interesting detail.

Much smaller than expected. Not to scale with the rest of the papo dinosaurs. It's OK but this is the only model from Papo that I have been disappointed with.
