Turned check engine light off on a 1997 Geo Prizm
On a Geo Prizm with over 220k miles the check engine light was on for catalyst efficiency, code P0420. Replacing the catalytic converter with this one cleared the code so it could pass inspection. The description notes for this catalytic converter say front and rear gaskets are included, but the one I received did not have any. I do not know if they were missing from the Warehouse Deal I purchased, or if they are not included with any of them. On this car the front and rear use the same style donut gasket, not the flat flange type. The bolts had to be cut off since they were rusted tight and the heads were too small for 14 mm and too large for 13 mm. Even with a 13 mm socket hammered on for a very snug fit, the bolt didn't budge and the corners rounded off, so all bolts were cut for removal. The catalytic converter looked very similar to the one that was removed and fit perfectly. The removed catalytic converter did not look clogged or deformed in any way, but apparently was not doing its job since the engine light that was on for months cleared shortly after this catalytic converter was installed. This was well worth the money to get past inspection for another year.

Fits perfectly, good quality construction, 49-state legal.
Installed easily, exact size as the OEM unit. The flanges are thick, flat, and true. The bolt holes are located correctly and a little oversize for easy installation. Gaskets ARE included, despite what the Walker rep says here on Amazon. It made my truck quieter than if I had used a "test pipe" in place of the converter, and it's smog legal even though my locale doesn't currently test. It's about 25% of what the dealer asks for one. This one fits some still-popular applications, and it's 49-state legal (even New York state which is clamping down on emissions violations). It's a good replacement for a failed or plugged unit for around $100 and you can do it yourself.

It is good
It fits my Tacoma 96. I m happy got it because a lot of mechanics they don’t want to deal with old trucks. I did it myself.

1992 Toyota Pickup
Purchased for 1992 Toyota Pickup. Good fit, came with gasket for both sides. Exhaust system has been replaced so even original needed a bit of Permatex 80335 Muffler and Tailpipe Sealer to prevent any leaks. Reused existing bolts. New bolts/nuts not included. No flow direction arrow. Searched online for a definitive answer on direction. Q&A on another site said there was supposed to be "flow" to mark the inlet. Not there. Appears to be bidirectional. Since these are made using precious metals, remember to recycle the old one. There are plenty of sites looking to buy your used catalytic converter (I used sellyourcatsdirect.com). I signed up on their website, provided some info, printed out a prepaid UPS shipping label, and they sent me a check for $50. If you want to shop around, these recycling sites will provide a quote upfront. The new cat appears to have helped with the odor from my tailpipe and hopefully is better for the environment. Overall, very happy with this easy replacement.

Gaskets missing from the catalytic converter I purchased
Why didn't this catalytic converter come with gaskets? The catalytic converter flange end to exhaust downpipe flange end on my 1988 Toyota 4x4 DLX ( the converter I purchased replaces the one on my truck) had a donut gasket in the converter. The other end facing the muffler also had a donut gasket.

2000 Toyota Tacoma 2.4L with federal emissions
This was installed on a 2000 Toyota Tacoma 2.4L with federal emissions. It fit perfectly to the factory exhaust flanges. Someone stole my catalytic converter back in July 2012 and I've put four (yes 4!) Magnaflow CC's on it since then. They only last from 2 weeks to 7 months before the truck throws an error code for the CC again. So far, this one has lasted four months with no issues. Only time will tell if it holds up. The price of this one puts the beat down on the price of a new one from Toyota...but, the factory Toyota CC did last for 12 years and ~225,000 miles, and was still working, when it got stolen. This one is also cheaper than the Magnaflow CC's I've bought in the past (not from Amazon). UPDATE - 3-29-2019 Truck threw a CC code (PO420) on March 16th, 2019. So, this CC lasted around 2 years and 9 months. I ordered this again as a replacement. It still beats the Magnaflow CC's longevity by a long shot.
