Purchased as a gift for my mom...I was very disappointed. The bowl was made on a weird angle so the wood grain was ugly, making the bowl rough. It was still totally usable and met the product description, but my mom had made a big deal over one she had seen. I just couldn’t give her this one, so I returned it and purchased another. Other reviewers were very happy with their bowls, so I’m sure mine was an anomaly.

This is built very nice and sturdy and heavy that when you put yarn in it will not move or tip over. The holes are an adequate size to thread and hold yarn. But it is kind of shallow. It I pull really fast on a large ball of yarn it will hop out of the bowl.

Very disappointed with this yarn bowl. I have one of the same design from a different source that is smooth and well finished. This one is very roughly finished and actually has sharp edges. It is heavy and I like the design but the finish is lacking. I have not yet decided whether to sand it and varnish or return for a refund.

The bowl is beautiful but only moderately functional. The inside of the curly cue where the yarn runs through was rough and would catch my yarn so I usually placed the yarn in the bowl and did not use that curly cue. After only a month of use, that part of the bowl completely fell off. I don’t mind as I really didn’t use it anyway, but I would not buy this bowl again nor would I recommend it to others.

The holder is nice and seems fairly well made but it arrived with a large crack from the spiral, all the way to the underside. It still works but I have to be extra careful not to snag the yarn while knitting, which is annoying.

This is a beautiful yarn bowl. My yarn doesn't want to stay in the curl so I use the holes instead. My yarn is in cakes rather than balls so maybe that makes a difference on whether it stays in the curl. It is a nice bowl, very beautiful.

I'm absolutely astounded. This bowl split straight down the side after only a few weeks, simply sitting on top of a credenza. There was no accident or rough usage, but in looking at it this evening, it's split completely down to the bottom.

One of these has been on my wish list for a long time and finally picked one up for while I am working from home. I crochet on webinars to keep myself engaged. This bowl is beautiful and fits a ball of yarn and keeps it clean and from unraveling while I work.
