Pros: Slim Profile Buttons in perfect position Looks good at a glance Offers protection Easy to put on and take offCons: Looks a bit cheap on closer examination Corner of case slips off sometimes in pocket when jostled Dislodges screen/back protector sometimes (Easy fix)I wanted a case that didn't add too much bulk to my phone but will offer some protection in case I dropped it, this is the perfect case! It's quite slim so it's not very noticeable that you have it on, and the buttons are lined up perfectly. The charging hole looks a bit small, but I have never had a problem charging even with my larger sized chargers (Like the kind made for Blackberry). I was able to put a screen protector and a back protector on so you can still see the design on the back, but there's still a small lip on the back and the front so it won't scratch the phone even if you don't have the protectors on. I have dropped my phone once and you can't tell at all due to the bumper. All in all, very much worth the price and I have no regrets at all!

UPDATE: long term review now after about ten months. The silver outer band is showing distinct signs of wear, the silver is gradually disappearing. Otherwise the actual material is still holding up.Although the price has increased some since this item was on pre order, still a good buy. I had the original OEM bumper first but it got damaged and google does not offer warranty or replacement for it. After getting this and comparing them side by side you can't tell a difference. Fit, finish and even color are indistinguishable. The checker boarding texture on the back matches too.The fit is more friendly to screen protectors than the poetic bumper (which I have had replaced twice due to separation). The poetic's flaw besides a weak adhesive is that the case is separate layers from top edge to bottom, subjecting it to severe stress from stretching or removal, or even pulling the lip aside a little to reseat the screen protector. The OEM style bumper is a single piece from top edge to bottom, the second layer being a band surrounding the outer edge and therefore not prone to separation failure.This case is highly recommended in lieu of the official OEM bumper.UPDATE:Almost three months later still looks good as new. I see a trend of some folks mentioning that theirs broke near the USB port. Mine has had no issue but I rarely plug it anymore as I am using wireless QI chargers. Ironically, that was a spot that had broken and that I glued on my OEM case before I got this one and my wireless chargers so it seems that the failure point by charge port is a design flaw that was copied too well. I did notice that most of my USB cords would encounter some resistance/tension when getting plugged in and had considered it a benefit (more stable seating) but it is apparent that plugging in standard size usb cables stresses the case at that joint. I'm certain that folks who use the wireless chargers should not have to worry.Also, managed to involuntarily drop test this case. It protected the rear glass from a slip and three foot fall flat backed onto ceramic tile; definite surge of relief after hearing the sickening smack of impact. At first I was concerned that the minimal lip front and back offered insufficient protection from a fall but I'm gladly proven wrong. If you get a rear protective skin you must take special care to center it exactly or the slight edge on the rear lip will lift up the film due to the bumper being ever so slightly stretched and reseated when it catches slightly while being taken out of pocket. When I started using the brand new, "naked" Nexus 4, my first thought was how fragile it felt in my hand. I think my trepidation had to do with all that glass.Anyway, I'm relatively well pleased with this item, it makes the Nexus 4 a bit more substantial in my hand, adding a comfortable lip to the edges so everything feels much more secure. Plus, knowing that the bumper would provide a bit of extra protection if it tumbles, made the Nexus more pleasurable to own and use.Since buying I've had one significant tumble which resulted in no discernible damage to the phone.The buttons on the bumper click softly and work well, everything plugs in just right. I was worried that the mike wouldn't work as well, since it is recessed in the case, but, I've had no complaints yet from folk at the other end of calls.I paired this item with a front/back protective film, so the phone is now completely enveloped, which makes me even less worried about careless handling.One nice synergy: the bumper seems to keep the edges of the protective film down and/or out of direct contact with my hand, and so it seems likely to keep the edges of the protective film from peeling up in casual use.Finally the combination of the grey bumper with the black Nexus looks right, so no problem with the aesthetics.Overall, the peace-of-mind, and no real downside makes this item well worth its modest price.The one negative is that after a few weeks of use, I noticed the same problem mentioned by other reviewers: the plastic square surrounding the USB socket at the bottom of the bumper cracked at the 6:00 position. A single neat crack that till now has not affected anything. In my case the crack probably had nothing to do with the USB cable not fitting, rather it may have had to do with the significant tumble that I mentioned above.Better to sacrifice the bumper than damage the phone...

Not very robust - the rigid part surrounding the charger input snapped in my pocket within a week of purchase rendering the case useless for its purpose. Replaced it with an Armourdillo case (from a different supplier) and that has proven much more satisfactory

Der Bumper und die Verpackung sehen fast wie das des Originals aus. Mir war aber klar dass es sich nur um einen Nachbau handelt nicht um das Original. So wie eben in der Beschreibung beschrieben.Der Bumper sitzt sehr gut und fest an meinem Nexus 4 kein knarzen durch leichte übergröße wie bei anderen Bumper beschrieben. Für alle Anschlüsse und die beiden Mikrofone sind perfekte Cut Outs angebracht. Der Powerbutton und die Lautstärkewippe lassen sich einwandfrei bedienen.Die Verarbeitung ist meiner Meinung nach ausreichend gut. Viele andere Nutzer bemängelten, dass der Chromerahmen des Nexus 4 nicht komplett durch den Bumper verdeckt wird was aber normal ist der Original Bumper tut dieses auch nicht. Und stören tut es ja auch nicht. Es stimmt allerdings dass der Bumper das Nexus 4 nicht rutschfester macht.Fazit: Einer der besten Nachbau Bumper die man finden kann, Verarbeitung und Sitzt Sehr Gut. klare Empfehlung.

Die Schutzhülle passt perfekt an das Nexus 4, es ist kaum zu sehen das eine Hülle an dem Handy ist finde ich. Oben und unten ist etwas unbedeckte Fläche, was ich aber nicht schlimm finde. Alle Tasten sind gut zu drücken und der Druckpunkt ist auch hervorragend angepasst.Ich werde einen Bumper in Zukunft jeder Silikon-hülle vorziehen.edit: Die Hülle reißt unten auf, ist also nicht lange haltbar!

Ich habe den Bumper seit etwa 1 Woche, und bis jetzt bin ich recht zufrieden damit. Er schaut genauso aus wie auf den Produktfotos, also dem Originalbumper von LG sehr ähnlich.Mir sind folgende Sachen aufgefallen:+ Der Bumper sitzt ganz exakt, kein Wackeln wenn das Nexus in der Hülle steckt. Auch keine Geräusche wenn man mit dem Handy hantiert.+ Der Einschaltknopf und die Lautstärkeregler sind wesentlich einfacher zu bedienen, da sie etwas weiter aus dem Gehäuse herausstehen, und man kann sie auch leichter drücken als ohne Bumper.+ Die untere Gummiseite des Bumper hat eine leicht rautenartige Struktur, somit gut gegen Rutschen gerüstet. Ich würde die Festigkeit des Gummi als mittelhart einstufen.+ Der Bumper erhebt sich etwa 1mm über die Vorder- und Rückseite des Nexus, d.h. wenn man es hinlegt liegt es nur auf dem Bumper.+ Alle Öffnungen sind dort wo sie sein sollen (Kopfhörer, Micro USB, Umgebungsmikrophon, Sprechmikrophon).+ Keine Gerüche.0 An der Vorderseite sieht man etwa 50% (der Breite) des oberen und unteren Chromerahmens des Nexus. Mich stört das nicht, das Handy hat keinen schlechten Halt dadurch. Auf den Produktfotos sieht man das wenn man genau schaut.0 Das blaue Ding in den Produktfotos ist ein Kabelbinder, jedenfalls ist es ein Klettverschlußband das man dafür verwenden kann. Keine Ahnung warum das dabei ist :)- Der Gummi an der Oberseite ist nicht komplett geradlinig auf dem grauen Hartplastikrahmen befestigt, sondern er macht leichte Wellen. Das ist sowohl auf der linken als auch auf der rechten Seite. Es ist optisch nicht 100% ok, aber der Gummi löst sich nicht vom Rahmen.Für mich ist der Bumper voll ok!-

Nachdem ich diesen Bumper bestellt hatte, war ich zunächst sehr begeistert. Die Tasten haben mit dem Bumper einen deutlich besseren Druckpunkt und die "Chrom"-Umrahmung des Nexus 4 ist gut geschützt. Nach über 6 Monaten im Gebrauch wird die Qualität des Bumpers sichtbar: Am USB-Port ist der Rahmen ein wenig aufgebrochen (wie auch von anderen berichtet), die Farbe des Rahmens ist stark ausgeblichen, der helle Teil des Rahmens lässt sich abziehen, die Tasten haben ihre Farbe nahezu komplett verloren.Zusammengefasst:Pro:+ Bessere Druckpunkte der Tasten+ Guter Schutz der "Chrom"-Umrahmung des Nexus 4Contra:- Bruchstelle am USB-Port- Farbe am Rahmen und an den Tasten bleicht stark aus- Kleber zwischen hellem und dunklem Teil lässt nach- Nach 6 Monaten im Gebrauch noch brauchbar, aber leider nur noch sehr hässlichFazit:Wer einen Bumper/ein Cover sucht, das länger als 6 Monate hält, der wird mit diesem Produkt nicht zufrieden sein.
