Haier HLT71BAT Replacement Battery for 7-inch LCD TV model HLT71 (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

Perfect replacement for my small portable TV that I kept in my company car for service calls to test for tracing video chains in medical imaging systems. The heat in the car made the original battery swell up and stop working. This was exact replacement, proper plug, and charges and works perfectly.

I ordered this battery for a Digital Prism 7" Television Model No: ATSC-710. It fit perfectly! The picture shown of the battery is for ATSC-710 but the battery you may receive is CP-HLT71 for Haier HLT71 7.4 VDC. Don't worry, it will still fit in the ATSC-710 (tight fit but fits - carefully push it in). Before ordering, make sure your charger is properly charging the battery you already have. Connect a Volt-ohm meter to the plug end, it should read 12 volts. ATSC-710 has a over voltage sensing circuit and cuts off the charge at 18 volts. ATSC-710 needs 1.5 amps for TV running & charging. You will see on the amp meter the ATSC-710 scale up the battery charging by 150 milliamp steps until it gets up to the desired charging rate. Again, before ordering, make sure your charger is charging the battery. I bought this to use as a spare battery, in case I wanted to watch my portable TV for long periods of time when I couldn't plug it in. It is a minor hassle to charge the extra battery. You have to charge the first battery in the TV, remove it and then put in the second battery into the TV to charge it.I actually have a model ATSC-710 7" portable LCD TV made by Digital Prism. It appears to be made in the same factory in China as the Haier 7" LCD. The TV and remote are virtually identical. I matched up the numbers on my battery with this one and then purchased it. The battery charged up fine and has worked w/o any issues. So if you have a Digital Prism TV, this battery will work.

My old battery dang near exploded (puffed up). Of course it's old and that is what happens.Some say this battery doesn't fit. Well, it does but it's a *very* tight fit and you have to square it up a bit.Best suggestion is to closely examine the old battery and watch where the wire routes.Side to side, just take a pen and even out the shoulders a bit. The come a bit rounded from the factorybut will flatten out. Just be patient.

Contrary to the experience of some reviewers, I was able to install the battery will little effort. Yes, the wires had to be tucked to fit into the space, but it installed as expected. The tv is not used in battery mode often, so the jury is still out for the battery's long term ability to perform.

I dislike because the ad should mentioned specific properties of the product and the time of duration of the battery charge and try to inprove it. Because most batteries last about two hours to whatch a movie or e TV show continuosly.

If you own a 7-inch LCD TV model HLT71 you know how great this little TV is. It's weakness though is the battery. Finding a replacement battery is difficult since the manufacturer no longer supports this TV. This battery does the trick - at least for a little while. Battery needs to be continually charged.

This replacement battery lasts longer then the old one did, the original one only lasted about 1 1/2 hours while this one I can get pretty close to 2 hours per charge... what a difference that is since I can now play the TV for longer then I used to.I would recommend that everyone should buy a battery like this for your tv, I have found that you will get better results for operating time if at least once a week you let your battery drain down to the point where it shuts itself off before charging it back up, I personally don't think anyone shouldn't have many problems with it... so far mine seems to be working great.
