Sharp Looking Protection
I am pleased with how well this car seat protector looks and protects. The car seat and protector mat do not slide around at all on the leather seats. The slits provide easy access to the car anchors for securing the car seat. I have used this mat successfully for both a forward facing booster seat along with a reverse facing infant car seat. It would be nice if it had a detachable extension at the top to protect the head rest when using with a booster seat with a back, however this is a minor complaint that can be resolved with a wash cloth hidden behind the car seat back. Before purchasing this product I used a thick blanket. The biggest benefit with the new protector mat other than looking great is that it is much easier to find the buckle for the seat belt rather than it getting covered up with the blanket. Great Product! Great Amazon Seller!

Works Great
So to start off, I need to say that I'm very picky about keeping my cars nice and so I want to do all I can to protect it from the abuse that kids can dish out. That being said this mat is definitely worth looking at as I think it's done a good job of protecting the leather in my car. Here are some pro's and con's:Pro's:+ Back is much taller than a lot of mats out there. This provides more coverage as a lot of car seats have pretty sharp plastic edges on the backs of the seats too+ Padding is thick, but not too thick. It's just right for keeping out indentations and scratches, but not so thick that it might interfere with the child's car seat actually sitting down in the bucket of the seat. I've used the prince lionheart mat also and it just does not work in my car. The bottom part is way too stiff and while this is great for protection, I couldn't get it to sit correctly in my car's rear seat (the seats are a slightly "bucketed")+ The front flap is good for both storing some small toys, and also provides some extra protection from dirty shoes. My son has a tendency to put his feet on the front part of the seat cushion and this at least gives some protection against dirt/salt/mud/scratches/etc.+ Back and bottom pads have a tackier rubber coating on the back so the mat won't slide around too much. One thing to note though is that if you have a lighter interior color the blackish/greyish coating could leave some marks.Con's:- Really just one, the junction between the bottom and back of the mat doesn't leave too much room for a seat belt to stick out. if you plan on using the LATCH anchors, this isn't a problem but some if you are using the vehicle's seat belt (like with a booster seat) the pads could get in the way, making it slightly annoying to buckle the seat belt.Anyway, i think this gets the job done and is worth the money.

Good quality
Very good quality. I have been using this mat for a year, and the car seat on top of it leave no dent to the leather seat in my car.[Updated June 2013]I have been using it for over 4 years now, and I have bought 3 more last few years. The mats and my leather seats are still in excellent condition. I have light color leather seats in both cars, and this mat does not discolor my seats.I notice some reviewers said the non-slip plastic at the bottom melted. I don't have this problem with my mat. I park my car outdoor everyday at work, but I live in southern California and it's not that hot here even in summer. So, depending on where you live, this mat may or may not be a good choice for you.

Damages leather seats
I purchased this product a year and half ago. The non-skid material at the back of the seat started to stick to the leather seats of my Infiniti. I suspect that this material deteriorates with thermal cycling. I managed to remove most of this sticky material from my leather seats but some of it remains stuck probably forever. This was a disappointment given that the product is advertised as a "Premium 2-in-1 seat Protector". For me, it's definitely not a good seat protector if you have leather seats in your car.

Depends on what you need
I ordered this recently, and just returned it without using. We have a new car with leather interior, and our goal was to purchase something that would prevent damage to the seat from compression. The thickness of the DuoMat is not enough to do that - placing anything under your car seat will help with compression some, but it would need to be much thicker than this to help at really preventing any.I am trying the Prince Lionheart Two Stage Seat Saver instead. If you are looking for something to protect against spills and scuffs more than compression, then the Duomat appears to be a fine choice.

Leather Seat protector
Works OK. Protects the leather but still leaves a mark/creases and i used a booster seat on top of the seat protectors i can only think the marks/creases would worsen when a big car seat is used. Was a little upset when i saw this same car seat for cheaper at Target online...if you want to buy this item i would recommend you try target.com first ...i wish i would have i would be much happier considering the item doesn't 100% protect my leather seat.

Love 'em!
I've not tried other brands, and probably won't since...I love these car seat protectors. They're great quality for a great price. They fit perfectly in my Ford Flex, and don't interfere with the seatbelts or the installation of the kids boosters. I was able to tighten and fully secure both our toddler seat (forward facing) and our "big boy" booster with backrest, with these protectors in place. There is no movement/sliding of the seats. Would totally recommend these for others, and will buy two more when the hubby gets his new car in the spring.

We became a little cautious after seeing the backing material ...
We became a little cautious after seeing the backing material on this seat protector. It looks similar to the non-slip backing that's found on some cupboard shelf liners, which leave an imprint after time, or some of the material is transfered. Since we're installing this in a brand new car with leather seats, I thought it would be worth the extra expense to place a cheap seat cover over the seat, and then put the protector mat over that. This would prevent any marking on the leather and I don't think this extra layer will compromise the safety of the baby car seat provided that the car seat is fastened securely. As far as the protector mat itself, it seems to be thick enough to prevent dimpling on the leather seat, but time will tell. Also, for all that it is, I think it's over-priced.
