door dog scratch protector
my dogs scratch at the door when they hear anyone drive up my driveway. I had this product for many many years and it worked great. Recently I fostered a Great Dane and although he did not scratch the door, when I was opening the door, he ran out before I had the door all the way open and snapped it in half. I immediately ordered another, and I bet it will last for the rest of my life. I also like the fact that it doesn't look scratched and is so easy to keep clean. Perfect fit for my door and easy to cut if necessary. Great product!!!!

This works awesome! Great protection!
I was renting and my dog scratched the door when stressed. Until she got used to the apartment I got this and cut it a little to make it less wide. It only took some durable scissors to cut it, even though the plastic is tough. It’s really easy to use. You just hang it on your door knob when you need it, slip it off when you don’t. It provides great protection. I never stuck it on my door.

Does Protect the Door Sort of
Bought it to protect my front door from scratches when I need to leave my dog home. It fits great and does protect the door from scratches...sort of. I like the quality and fits the door well. It's just figuring out how to keep it attached to the door so my dog cant get between it and the door.

Skip this, use a piece of cardboard instead!
Honestly, the box this came in worked better than the actual product. Not joking. I wanted to use this on an exterior door to prevent my large puppy from scratching the paint and damaging the door frame. This plastic hangs so loosely that the pup kept knocking it off, which scared him, but didn't stop him from trying. I took the box this shipped in, cut it to fit my door, and then cut a slit just big enough to shove my door handle through. This worked SO MUCH BETTER! Even more, the cardboard box protected the door and the door frame. Seriously, save your $$$ and just use a leftover box.

Just what I needed!
I bought this product to protect my entry doors from the wrath and joy of my little rescue dog. When the doorbell rings, Max claws at the front door and jamb in a fury, trying to get to whoever dared to ring the bell. Also, when I return home through the garage, he claws at the laundry room door and trim in excitement. My wooden doors were originally stained a dark color, which hid the evidence of his scratching pretty well. However, I recently painted the doors white, and realized Max was likely to ruin the new paint if I didn't take some precautionary measures.I looked at several similar items on amazon, but the Clawguard seemed to offer the best protection to both the door and jamb. It is very easy to install by slipping it over the doorknob. I haven't used the Velcro stabilizer yet, since the paint needs 30 days to cure before sticking anything to the door. However, it is already having the desired effect. I hung it with the smooth side to the door, and Max doesn't like the sound or feel of his claws on the textured side. Even if they didn't bother him, the Clawguard is designed in such a way that he can't push or scratch it out of the way of either the door or jamb. Of course, I do need to point out that Max weighs only 15 pounds and doesn't have the physical force of a larger dog. But for my purposes, the Clawguard works very well and is doing exactly what I hoped it would: keeping my energetic boy from ruining the doors and trim.My front door opens inward, which makes it very easy to use the Clawguard. My laundry room door opens outward, which requires a bit of maneuvering to close the door behind me as I leave. However, the Clawguard is flexible enough to allow me to gently push it inward as I close the door. I used strong scissors to trim the upper corners, rounding them off a bit so they don't catch my clothes as I walk by.This product has certainly saved the appearance of my doors and trim. I'm pleased enough with the performance and durability of the Clawguard that I hope to purchase a third one soon to protect my back door after painting it. I would recommend this product to anyone having a problem with their dog scratching their doors and trim.

Decent, I like it a lot, my dog is just a menace and ripped the door knob hole
It's pretty cool and worked well for a while, but my 50 lb mixed breed dog ripped the hole that hooks on the door know after about a month so now she constantly rips it off. If your dog is not an absolute menace it's great. Before she figured out she could rip it off it was great.

Just buy it!
Omg, just buy the dang thing! I bought 2, one for my front door and one for my back door. Our front door is literally old old wood (we live in new orleans) and we rent so I had to get something to protect it against my little psychopath with fur. Its been over a year and i have not had to replace either of them! its a little "out of place" you could say but if youre renting i say its worth it!
