Q: If it is not Metal (except for fastners) what material is the actual arch made with?

I apologize this one is not metal, it’s like pvc pipe. I did not like it at all! It was really hard to keep together, I returned it.

Q: Would this be strong enough to support flowers that are soaked in floral foam?

Yes there are metal beans that attach the pvc together but it is VERY STURDY! And it has clips that you screw together where the pvc meets the other strands of pvc which creates even more sturdiness

Q: Hi, can you take out a few links to make it smaller if need to?

I believe you "could", but I wouldnt recommend this product to any one. It was poorly made and quite flimsy. I sent it back. Dont waste your time or money.

Q: Is the item easy to move once assebled and decorated with flowers or will it come apart?

It's real lightweight so quite to move. One person could do it alone, but it's huge so it's easier to do with two people. With how lightweight it is, however, if you are decorating it outside you'll want something heavy to put on top of the base once you get it in position so that the wind doesn't take it over.
