Huge screen, easy to read and follow instructions. Voice is loud enough to hear in our camper with music playing. Bluetooth and fm connectivity are a nice touch. Good to be able to put size of vehicle in to avoid narrow roads, a bit odd that you have to input vehicle size in yards, and I can’t work out a way of changing that. No sim or phone link up required. European maps included.

A plug and play satnav. No subscriptions required. It just works well. What more could I ask? Excellent.

I bought this SatNav for my wife to use in her car as her previous TomTom was old and no longer accepted map updates. She found this very easy to set-up and has already put several routes into her Favourites menu so she can easily access them. Only have used the device for local trips, she hasn't really given it a full trial as yet, but she is initially very happy with it. The voice is clear and the directions so far are correct, even when she had to change the original mapped route - it recalculated quickly and didn't argue with her change of decision. The screen is a good size and very clear and easy to see, even in the sun, so long as you get the angle correct there is no screen glare.On the initial installation in her car she did experience one problem, which was the sticky mat that affixes to the dashboard soon become unsticky in the sun and the whole device fell off onto the floor in the footwell. Fortunately she was not driving at the time - she had set it up and then vacated the car, only to return and see what had happened. This was a minor inconvenience but one which could have been dangerous had she been driving when it happened. Since then she has found an alternative method of mounting it on the dashboard - using a doughnut mat which she had purchased for her TomTom. This works well and the suction cap holds firm with no worries about it falling over.So far she has not connected the NavPal to her mobile phone via BlueTooth nor to her car radio as she does not feel there is any need. The directions are clear enough not to require them booming out of her car speakers.The extras that were included in this deal make it extremely good value with the lifetime of free updated maps, charging plug and lead and padded wallet to keep it in, all of which are very useful. The device arrived loaded with the latest maps and it was very easy to register for future updates. All of this makes me very happy with my purchase and I would confidently say that you won't get a better deal.

Best use for this would be to practice your accuracy with a club hammer. Difficult and irritating to use, and inaccurate. I have a fairly small Motorhome, but this unit identifies me only as a lorry, although I have entered the weight under 3500 kgs. The length, width, height can only be entered in YARDS!!! (Who uses yards to measure a vehicle?). It is unable to register speed limits, nearly always giving incorrect information. My 10+ year old SatNav gives more accurate routes and directions. (e.g. the Navpal took me into the centre of Rotterdam - should have gone round it - and couldn't seem to get me out of it. My old unit took over and saved the day). Changing parameters on the move is horrendously difficult (e.g. if you want to change from no-tolls to yes-to-tolls, or fastest to shortest route). You have to start again from the beginning. Overall a dreadful unit; I used my old unit in tandem after about a day's use, and after a week the NavPal was discarded and my old unit put back in. How anyone gives this a good review is entirely beyond me.

I had a bad experience, but this is not the Navipal people's fault. Scam sites are using their name and attempting to get customers to pay £149 for updates, plus they then have your credit card details and can use the details and take more money. Apparently, Garmin and TomTom are subject to the same scams. I have been treated very well by the genuine owners of Navipal, and as a previous IT specialist, the scam was very sophisticated but there were red flags like, the supposed helpline shouting at me when I said I thought they were a scam, plus they wanted to install software on my PC to let them update me. Heaven knows what that would have done. The genuine Navipal people seem like good people and are really helpful. The scam sites, you should avoid like the Black Death, I will update in a few weeks, when I have used the device properly. The updates are free, and they are sent to your email as links to update the device.

Large screen, easy to use, accurate, speed alerts, your speed is on the screen which is very helpful, even a calculator, clear voice which you can change to suite.

Very easy to use, nice large screen, and gives very good and precise directions. The lane guidance on screen is very clear and precise too.

I liked the ease of setting up and the instructional videos which were really clear. I was disappointed that the main charger had a UK plug and for in-car there is only a cigarette lighter connection. As I bought it on Amazon.de I would have liked to have had a European plug charger and I would have liked a USB in-car charger. I bought the Navpal to use on a US roadtrip so overall I am happy with my purchase.
