Size of egg! Its small cute little speaker. Bought this speaker for $40 shipped. Its no different than other chinese brand bluetooth speakers. First of all, let's get this out of the way: This is a small speaker for casual listening in your house or outside with a small group of friends. If you want something that will sound loud this is not what you're looking for and certainly not for the price. With that said, I love everything about this Sony speaker. I truly believe it is the best you'll find at this price. I had a CREATIVE wireless speaker but is big and needs to be connected. The strong PROS about the Sony one are design, size, portability, and speaker phone (you can take your calls with the speaker without reaching for your phone. It has an "answer" button and a microphone) Here's the detailed list of Pros and cons:1. Design is just beautiful and small. One of the strong features about this is that is VERY small and portable. Which means not only that you can carry it with ease, but you can put it ANYWHERE.2. Sound is nothing special but does the job. You just have to be careful and pay attention to the equalizer settings in your phone or whatever you use to stream sound to it. I have a Nexus 4 and I put the equalizer on ROCK but pulled the BASS BOOST and 3D SOUND all the way down and it sounds better and louder.3. Battery life is good. I haven't timed it but so far no problems. I'll update this part later.4. NFC connectivity is really great. This is the first time I use a Sony product with this feature and I never thought it would be so convenient but it is. You don't have to go through the steps of 1) turn on the spaker 2) turn on bluetooth on your phone 3) connect to the speaker. With NFC you just tap your phone and it does all of it automatically, it even starts the music player app and starts playing your song if you had it paused before. With my Nexus 4 I didn't have to download any app, it just works.5. Speakerphone is a really nice extra feature. If you get a call with other speakers you need to pick up the phone and answer the call. Then hang up and connect everything again. This speaker has a microphone built in and an "answer" button on the side so you can just answer the call right there.CONS:1. I really don't have anything bad to say about it. The sound could always be louder right? But that's not an issue for me and as I said before, if you really want something loud this is not the speaker you want.

it's not what I thought it was! So I have three items need to return it.

My son (2) loves to hold this and run around the house listening to music, or hold it at night as he falls asleep and I play songs. I have to keep him from putting it near his ear, but it's not a terribly loud speaker; for its size, it's fine, but it's not going to be able to be heard over any kind of background noise.Good for its size, but don't expect huge sound.

Despite being smaller than a tennis ball this little speaker has excellent sound in the low range. It sounds neither tinny or muddy as nearly all small speakers do.I wouldn't have expected this quality of sound out of such a small speaker except for the fact that it's a Sony product.My wife--who loves her Apple iPhone 5S--takes this speaker with her everywhere both in and out of the house.Her first worry was about getting it dirty or scratched up because it is a beautiful item, and is very pleased with the little mesh bag it comes in. The speaker in it's soft case easily fits in the cup holder of a car, outdoor camp chair, or in her pocketbook or handbag.Something we hadn't considered when ordering is that it also works as a speaker phone. So if you need a speaker phone for a group to participate in a conference call while you're on the road or if you're a mobile professional, this is an excellent, business-appropriate solution.Bottom Line: Don't expect room filling sound out of this tiny speaker, but as a personal speaker AND speaker phone there's nothing better in terms of sound quality and performance.

I cant belive I bought a Sony speaker because i thought being a Sony would be a fove star product!!! What a mistake!! This speaker does not pair with my kids ipad minis, my husbands iphone 5s or my daughtera iphone 5!! The only thing that it paired with was with my iphone 6. This was supposed to be a present for my daughter, one she cannot use!! Very dissapointed, bewareWaisted my money

Should have read the dimensions first. While the quality is excellent, all the photos made it appear larger.Still a great product and quality.

It is a very good speaker with good sound and easy to carry.Furthermore, it is easy to get it working with just a touch of the phone..

Overall, this little piece of equipment is decent if paying the sale price. Don't expect superb sound or volume that goes overly high. It is roughly the size of a tennis ball and sounds nice and clear at max volume (when listening to rock music). This is a perfect device to listen to music at a low volume at the office or if you don't have a stereo (or space for one) in the kitchen. It paired just fine over Bluetooth with my Iphone. Bottom line: Cute device for music on the go. I would not pay more than the $35 sale price however.

This is AWESOME! took it to Cuba, in and it worked great on the beach, the sound is clear, and loud! Love the bluetooth feature!
