Cross Terra 26 x 1.5 Blackwall

These tires are fantastic! I commute through an urban area on an aluminum mountain bike with a rigid steel fork. I just switched my tires from 26x1.95 Specialized Hemispheres to these 26x1.5 Club Roost Cross Terras, and it's like a whole new bike. It feels lighter and quicker, and it's also quieter. The rolling resistance is noticeably less, as is the weight. I bought these because I wanted something that would roll great on pavement, but would also be surefooted on grass and gravel. If this is what you are looking for, these tires are a really good choice. (One star dropped because inflation is just 40-65psi, and I would like a little more on the top end...)EDIT after a few more weeks of riding: I added a fifth star because I have since realized that the lower inflation actually makes for a more comfortable ride.

These wear out quickly and do not ride over curbs easily. I don't think this is the safest tire especialky in snow or colder environment you can slip at any time.

Grip in very muddy(like grease) situations quite impressive. I'd buy them again.

I have used these on a full suspension mountain bike since most of the trails i exercise on are paved. Great cornering traction in dry conditions and good traction in wet. You will be happy with these tires. I inflate them to 85 pounds and they offer very little resistance.
