I love this thing! Helps my tiny office.
I use this under my Apple 23" Cinema Display. Before, it was just a little to low for comfort. This is perfect.Your Apple Magic Mouse or Trackpad and the Wireless Keyboard will fit right under it - no problem. However, other brands of keyboard and mouse might not. It is not a huge space.I like the USB ports and use them now and then. They are not high power ports, so I don't charge my iPhone from them or use them for fancier USB devices like my sound input device (it didn't work well). I do use it with a printer and a USB mouse and it works fine. The white LEDs above the ports on the front were a little too bright for me -- I cut an adhesive label into small strips and layered them over the lights until they were dim.I recommend this item if you'd like to lift your iMac / Apple display about 2.5" into the air.

Positive review of the Space Bar
Only had the Quirky Space Bar one day, but thus far I am pleased with the product. The product is easily holding my Dell U2412m Monitor, and my Apple MacMini 2011 fits easily underneath without it touching the Space Bar. Happy with the lighted USB ports as well, so I can insert my thumb drives without turning on the lights at night.

24" iMAC: Too heavy?
Not too heavy. 10 days in since receipt of and placing my 24" iMAC on product. Taking measurements once a day and the center has not flinched. I get a 4.3 centimeter measurement on both sides and in the middle consistently. So ... it can handle the extra weight after all.

Wonderful product with excellent delivery!
This product was not available in Europe. Several web-shops have it on their list, but could not deliver. Amazon delivered within 7 days! Price was equal to European price. Good job!The product is excellent, works well, even with 230 voltage.

One Star
Love the design & low profile. Unfortunately 2 of the USB ports did not work.

Quirky is the name of the manufacturer - and "quirky" says it all
I'll cut to the chase:As a stand, it looks nice. It's a little on the narrow side in terms of front to back, but it has a nice, modern "Apple" look.As a USB port, it fails. The ports sometimes just stop working - maybe once or twice a month. I'll go to use the device attached to the port, and the device won't work. This is remedied fairly simply - unplugging and then re-plugging the device into the port. But for a $70 USB port, I expect more. I didn't purchase this item with the expectation that it would work MOST of the time.So it gets a 2-star review for its quirky performance.

Great idea, but.....
Great idea, but a little weak for the 27 inch and probably the 24 inch iMac. Bought for my 27" iMac and it was too unstable to use as stand so i am using under monitor and over base as an expensive USB pot. Horizontal strip needs beefed up. Also, depth probably should be about 8 inches instead of 6.5". iMac 27" base is about 8 inches. Also, no way to turn lights out on front when plugged in to a power source. Lights should go off automatically when PC is off or have a switch. Or don't even have the stupid lights.Anyhow, bought as a base for iMac and keyboard storage etc. I can only use as a USB port with annoying lights that won't turn off. I had aluminum so my guess is stability of plastic is much worst.

Great product, PHENOMENAL service!
I got a Space Bar as a present and was thrilled - except that once I got it all set up, it didn't work with my computer. I was getting driver errors, and a Code 43 issue. I reached out to the customer support at Quirky (they really are 24/7, just like they say) and detailed the issue and what I'd done to try to fix it. They sent me a label to return the one I had and shipped a new one out to me. After fiddling with it, it turned out that the USB extension cable I'd been using was causing the error, so now all I need to do is pick up a longer cable than the one that shipped with the Space Bar, and I'll be golden! The USB cable that ships with it is about four feet long, so if you've got a setup that requires longer cables, pick up a longer one for yourself. And if you run into the same problem I did, make sure you're not using an extension cable!Quirky, I can't thank you enough for your incredibly prompt, efficient, and friendly service.
