Excellent Product
I purchased this phone to upgrade my Linksys SPA-941. The SPA-504g does not disappoint. Keep in mind the phone may or may not come with a power supply. The phone can receive its power over the ethernet cable (PoE) if your network is so configured. Otherwise you will need the $12 power supply. I use the Linksys SPA-9000 PBX system and this phone works well with it. Since I like to manually configure my phones it took me awhile to learn how to stop the SPA-9000 from trying to auto-configure the phone. I have this phone configured for 4 extensions on different telephone providers. The headset and speakerphone audio quality is superior to the older SPA-941. If you do not know how to provision a Voice Over IP phone you should not purchase this phone and expect to get it working without a lot of learning and time. If you are an experienced VoIP person you will feel right at home and happy with this phone.

Excellent VOIP Phone for 3CX or Asterisk Systems
Purchased two of these phones to expand our 3CX VOIP system. They were easy to configure and are compatible with the linksys power supplies and wireless adapters ( Cisco-Linksys Wireless-G Bridge for phone adapters WBP54G )that we already owned. The soft menu system is easy to use and required no user training. Voice mail indicators worked flawlessly with the 3CX phone system. The speaker phone and handset volume and call clarity is great. It is as good as handsets that I have paid over $250 for. Will definitely buy more of these as our office expands.

Great phone - works with Asterisk and Broadvoice
Have this configured for both Broadvoice and Asterisk - works great. Only very minor beef is that the headset port seems sensitive to ground loop hum. It's barely noticeable, but can cause the far end voice to get clipped, as the buzz is transmitted and some far end points can't contend with the full duplex nature of this. If the headset is muted, the far end becomes audible again. I've tried two different, brand-new Plantronics headsets, with the similar hum.

Excellent VOIP Phone
Love this phone. Had it for about 3 months and it works excellent. I bought it for my home office and I like it better than the one I had at the company I worked for. Not much I can say other than the calls are perfect, and everything works excellent. I use it over FIOS and have no problems whatsoever. Just plug it in and go. But, the phone only works as good as the provider you use. I was using a voip provider called vocalocity and I got tons of problems with service cutting out. I switched to nextiva and it works awesome. Vocalocity had a much better user interface and way more features but the service was horrible and they were way too expensive. Nextiva is more plain vanilla but the service works excellent!

No power cord! HOW LAME! (BAD sound!)
Terrible sound in handset, and, NO POWER CORD! (pitiful!) I HAD to buy a Cisco to telecommute from home because its the only thing our company will allow/support. I had to order a model that had back-lit display because the non-back-lit are just too difficult to read. The phone features are great, but, NO POWER CORD!?!?? That's PITIFUL!!!! The power cord aka "power adapter" must be about 50cents worth of plastic and wire but you have to order it separately for $12. REALLY!?!?!?! Another example of LAME service by corporate America!(Probably some "genius" in marketing came up with that idea) If Cisco is going to be so CHEAP and GREEDY that they don't even include a 50cent power cord with their product, then they get ZERO stars from me! And I hope it decreases their sales! If it was up to me, I would have purchased something from ANOTHER MANUFACTURER. Note: As I just found on Amazon, you can buy a POE Adapter for SIX DOLLARS! I'll be ordering two of those instead of Cisco's OVER PRICED power cord. ALSO, the sound quality of the handset on this phone is TERRIBLE! It sounds like you are talking into a coffee can. Following the advice of another user's review, I swapped the handset with that of another Cisco phone, and the sound quality was COMPLETELY DIFFERENT (much better). The other headset doesn't fit in the cradle perfectly (because Cisco doesn't have the common sense to design their phones/handsets to be compatible/interchangeable), but I'll work around it until my employer allows me to buy a product form ANOTHER MANUFACTURER! Another star off for Cisco.

crystal clear sound quality, competitive price
The sound quality on this device is very clear (on the handset and speakerphone). It is noticeably better than my Panasonic cordless phone (connected to an ATA device). The people at the other end of the line also say the sound quality is better. It is also very ergonomic and easy to use. It exceeds my expectations(I had a bad experience with another cheaper brand IP phone with comparable features, where the headset had a hissing background noise - thanks to Amazon's return policy, I returned it hassle free). The setup was quite easy too(and has a lot of options). It does not come with a power supply because it has POE (Power Over Ethernet) - you can get a "POE injector" instead of the power supply, if you need one. With POE, I like the fact that there is only 1 chord going to the phone, making it look cleaner and more manageable. I could not directly update the firmware to the latest, since what came with the phone was a few releases old(I had to upload incrementally to the latest, which was mentioned in the firmware release notes). The personal directory has 100 contacts - I wish there was a way to upload contacts from a file (as far as I know, it needs to be entered manually). As far as the durability goes, I do not know yet, but from what I know so far, I will buy another Cisco phone in the future!

Alert - No Power Supply - No Warranty From Cisco
It won't work out of the box because it has no power supply (unless you have powered internet, which few have.) I'd love to give this 4 stars because Cisco does make good IP phones, but I had to knock off one star because things are supposed to work or they need to tell you in the description you need something else. I had to go back to Amazon and order a power supply and wait 3 days to get it because it was not Prime. Dec 11, 2014 Edit. Had a problem with the phone losing connection if I moved it or touched the power cord. Tried 3 different power supplies and 2 different network cables. Problem persisted, so figured it was inside of the phone. Spent about an hour trying to find warranty info on Cisco's web site. Got through to someone on 866-606-1866 and they said I needed a Cisco ID to start a case and that the warranty was handled through Amazon, not Cisco. I went on Amazon Chat to find out about the warranty because I was outside of the 30 day return window. The problem existed from Day 1, but I was messing with buying new power supplies etc. and let it slide. Amazon Support made an exception and took it back. (5 stars for Amazon) but 1 star for Cisco. Avg still 3. I purchased a new 504G from Amazon, but got the 2 year warranty this time. My time is worth more than the $9. Maybe Cisco has a warranty on this, but I could not find out how to get service on it. It's like dealing with the Federal Government with Cisco. Maybe the manufacturer can comment on this and provide some information on warranty work.

Not that great.
I'm not very satisfied with this phone. Mind you, the one I received looked new, but it came with a documentation CD that said it would work on Windows versions up to XP, so it might have been manufactured a while ago, but whether that has anything to do with my dissatisfaction is impossible to say - and probably not likely anyway. The phone provisioned itself with what Cisco says is the latest firmware, but it was set up to re-provision itself every 24 hours, and it loses any settings I may have made to the IP interface. What's the sense in that? So I've turned off provisioning, I'll have to remember to check in with Cisco every once in a while. Vonage tech support had to help me change the DTMF audio settings for my extension, because the voice mail system would not accept my PIN about half the time, and yet the phone never misdials a phone number, so it's not the physical keys. (It was very inconsistent, sometimes I had to hang up and start over, other times the third or fourth try would "take"). So far the DTMF changes seem to have solved that, but they will probably disappear if I have to reprovision the phone, so I've had to take a screen shot of that group of settings and hope I remember them in the future. If I leave the screen inside a menu item, the screen won't revert back to the home screen after any amount of time - even hours. Thus when the phone rings an hour later, if I left it several layer down (such as a Call History item) I have to hit cancel/cancel/cancel in order to see who is calling. Stupid design, and the interface is so complicated, I have no idea if I can change this. Which wouldn't matter, because reprovisioning would probably cancel that anyway, along with my other changes. And although the interface claims that I can change the location/order of the softkeys, I can't, I've tried, but it looks like this is only possible with an extra layer of software that is only used in big multi-user environments.

Perfekte Technik

Great Standard IP Handset
It's a standard handet which is built well & picked up the correct DHCP settings & worked straight out of the box. This phone was provided by Kikatek & it was delivered promptly & came with a VAT invoice without having to chase. I would not have any hesitation on buying from Kikatek again. Thanks Guys.
