My grandson participates in CAR, DAR and SAR events! The boots were exactly what he wished for!

Returned product, didn’t fit, but they were very good about return.

Good to wear when you need it for a ren fair but I have to say they are not the best made. Definitely not my favorite but they worked for what we wanted them for.

After reading negative reviews, I was skeptical on how these would hold up at the local renaissance festival this year. I was more than pleasantly surprised. I wore them out for an entire day of the festival and then some at home.Pros:These bad boys actually resisted the mud and water that actually flowed over the front of my boot. No leaks.The construction is actually really well done as I didn't have any problems with soles or ties.They look great!Cons:They really lack ankle support, it wasn't horrible in my experience but bad terrain may be rough after awhileIts a pain in the ass to tie the knots and whatnot on the sides.

I got these boots to wear with my kilt, because I'm not a fan of brogues; but I'm glad I read the reviews they said it ran small. I'm a size 10-11 depending on the shoe, but ordered a 12-13 because of what the reviews said. Fits well. Only problem I have is the plastic liner on the inside. If they could use the same material on the inside as they did the outside and used the plastic on between to enhance the rigidity I'd give it 5 stars, but because of the plastic I knocked 2 stars off. All in all not bad to wear occasionally. Definitely not a daily wear boot.

These are costume boots and not the highest quality, but I was surprised by how nice they were. While I don't expect them to last long, they have made it through at least 4 all-day events that included walking through the woods, on gravel, concrete, etc. with very little wear and tear.These boots have virtually no padding so you will want to buy a high quality foam insert. Otherwise, they are more comfortable than I expected.

These boots are for Cos Play so as part of a costume they are not worn all day but for only a few hours but having little or no arch support you should consider an insole plus make sure they are aired out for a few days as they arrive with the fake leather smell. Most of it will be covered up with real fur and real suede leather

These boots work pretty well. Some reviews suggested the inserts so your feet dont hurt. I didnt put any in and my feet were fine. Also they held up pretty well in mud and rain. I of courde avoided deep mud snd big puddles but my feet were mildly wet compsred to my friends ehos feet were soaked.
