One star for every year of abuse my first pair survived
My first pair lasted five winters of daily wear before the heel seam finally split in year six. I probably could have gotten another year or two out of them if I was more gentle putting them on and taking them off. As you can see from my photos, I replaced them just in time. We got hit with 8" shortly after my new pair arrived. * They're durable, warm, and comfortable once broken in. * I normally wear a 10.5 or 11 wide, and the size 11 fits well even with thick winter socks. * They were a little tight in width at first, but they loosen up after a couple of weeks of wear. * The tread is decent and they get pretty good traction in snow and mud. * Made in Canada. Obviously made in USA is my first choice, but Canada is a fine runner up. Besides, I figure they probably know a thing or two about snow boots. Make sure to check the different variations if you're looking for a deal. The price can vary by $20+ between different styles/colors. TL;DR: High quality, good value winter snow boots. My first pair lasted five years and I liked them enough to order a second pair.

Made in Canada! They know snow up north...
I was a little afraid these would be hard to put on and take off, but in a size 10 (true to my size 10 feet) they are a little 'sloppy', in the best way, meaning I can slide in and out without even touching the boot with my hands, they stay on and the heel is snug enough to make them feel fine, with a slightly sloppy toe box. I imagine I could easily use 1-2 pairs of thick winter socks if necessary and they would still fit fine, in my short jaunts outside in the snow walking my dogs there was no need for heavier socks, they were plenty warm. I am quite happy with these, not too heavy, warm, easy to get on and off, very high and you can snug the top to keep snow out. I would not buy a size larger than your shoe size with these, though some reviewers disagree -- perhaps if you only intend to wear thick socks, but not for the average Joe.

Sturdy
Work as told ;=) they run a little bigger than size for normal walking boots ! Perfect for short walks... advise 2 pairs of socks for long walks ! Not a Bitch... my feet were warm and dry ;=)... this type of boot is not designed for long walks... keep your feet warm = yes... keep your feet dry = yes... they seem sturdy... I would guess long term use is excellent !

Good Boot
Very warm, true to size. I've had a pair for years and they are holding up well. Just got another pair for my wife in black. She loves them for walking the dogs in the snow and slush. It's been below zero lately and with a good pair of wool socks, you are good to go.

Want waterproof and warm? Buy these!
These boots are fantastic! I've had them for six years, and they've never failed me. They tackle snow, slush, standing water, and heavy muck, always keeping my feet perfectly warm and dry. Really easy to clean. I got exactly what I paid for!

Warm and dry
I bought these for my son who is working outside doing snow and ice removal. Sizing is slightly roomy but accurate with room for warm socks. His feet have stayed warm and dry! Definitely recommend.

Great pair of boots if I were able to use them.
I need to preface that I am not the kind of person who would purchase personal use items like clothing, underwear, and shoes and return them after a lot of use. That is just morally wrong and unhygienic. However, in this case, I did use the boots for 1 hour, and due to cost, I returned them when I realized I could never wear them. So, this review is simply based on my initial impression of the boots, how it felt during that one hour, and why I had to return them. Whenever I get rainboots, they cost almost as much as these boots. Yet, they are uncomfortable, give me blisters, wear down and become slippery, and start tearing and forming holes. They would barely last a season. I wanted something better that I didn't have to replace every year. I mainly use boots to avoid getting dirty, muddy, and wet. I use them after rainy days to walk the dog, take short hikes, and trek through wet and muddy areas. When I first received these boots, my first impression was, wow, they are heavy! Each boot was about 2.4 lbs vs. 1.5 lbs for a cheaper counterpart. I put them on in the house, and they were comfortable, snug, and warm. I will have to use them and see if they give me blisters. The material on the outside is very thick. Reminds me of tires. They seem to scuff easily, but these aren't dress shoes. The soles were incredibly thick and threaded. So far, impressive. I finally used them to walk the dog for about an hour on a flat paved trail through a park where it had rained the night before. Splashes from puddles beaded off the shoe, so it is waterproof as advertised. There are only 2 reasons I am returning them, and they have nothing to do with quality, durability, comfort, etc. I am a little embarrassed for the first reason. After an hour of easy walking, my legs were exhausted. The boots were a tad too heavy for me, and I'm probably a weakling. But they were comfortable, I did not get blisters, and nothing got wet or muddy. The second reason is the main reason. It is also a strange one because I never read anything like that in any of the reviews. So it could be a unique issue with me and have nothing to do with the boots. I COULD NOT DRIVE WITH THEM ON! Something felt off driving to the park. After the walk, it was rush hour with lots of stops and goes. This is where things got slightly precarious. I literally could not feel the pedals. As I moved back and forth between the accelerator and the brake pedals, I could not tell if the whole foot was on the accelerator pedal, half of it, or the brake pedal. Sometimes I was pressing on both the brake and the accelerator pedals. I also could not get a sense of how much I was pressing down. It's the strangest feeling. My driving was so jerky, which wasn't good during rush hour. When I was approaching a red light, I would think I was braking, but instead, the car accelerated. Then I had to quickly adjust to avoid hitting the vehicle stopped in front of me. When I wanted to accelerate, I sometimes ended up with a jerky brake which could cause the car behind me to hit me. Were my pedals too close to each other? Was the boot so wide that it sometimes pressed on both pedals? Were the soles so thick I couldn't feel the pedals, or how much was I pressing down? Or am I getting peripheral neuropathy? I really do not know! When I finally got home in one piece, I decided to return the boots. Sorry, Kamik. You guys seem to make quality shoes, but this strange experience is why I am returning them. It is also probably unique to me.

Does what it's supposed to do. Keeps me warm, and keeps the snow and moisture out. Feels pretty good quality.

Your boots are wicked little heavy but never have cold or wet feet and that's what I find important
