We bought this dvd to encourage an 80 year old man with dementia to take up exercise. He absolutely loves it and is happy to participate every evening. He can't make it all the way through (1/2 hour) but always comments on how much he enjoyed it and wants to do more the next day. This dvd breaks up our evening when we would normally watch tv and gives us all the chance to spend time together doing something we enjoy. David Dorian Ross is a joy to watch, very happy and enthusiastic. His instructions are very clear and his laid back approach puts no pressure on you - it's all about enjoyment and movement. I would heartily recommend this dvd.

Easy to follow, exercise without pain and really enjoyable
I wasn't sure if this would be helpful for me, but it is so much better than I expected. I like it so much I would love to go to a real lesson rather than on my own at home. The presentation is really relaxing and there is no pressure. If you are in two minds whether to give it a go I would wholeheartedly say try it.

Easy to follow
This dvd is so easy to follow.I've always wanted to learn Tia Chi.Being of the older set this dvd is just the thing.Looking forward to the warmer weather and doing my Tia Chi outside. Very relaxing.

Very good video for Tai Chi
Having already experienced some Tai Chi years ago, I believe this is nice and easy approach to introduce Tai Chi to beginners.

I thought this introduction to t'ai chi excellent. I had done it before years ago and loved it so was very plea sed to discover this dvd. Can thoroughly recommend it. A clear, gentle and humorous presentation, easy to follow.

Fantastic!
This is my first experience with Tai Chi. I find the video is perfect for me, easy to follow, positive dialouge, great instruction and I feel great. I actually look forward to my daily sessions! Very pleased.

Excellent daily exercises for seniors.

It's easy to follow and does not include meditations or chants, etc.
I combine this video with Classical Stretch/Aging Backwards-both have some similar movements that are beneficial and easy to follow. I have been doing the Eccentrics for two years and I have learned that it is important not to quit out of boredom, disappointments, or distractions because one will improve over time and in a matter of time--you will see some positive results. For me, the two programs make for nearly an hour long routine. Good for strength, balance and clearer thinking because you must use your brain to follow the instructions. I recommend it and it is not expensive as some other programs are.These exercises should be performed at least four times a week. I also like that the program is secular--- as it does not include religious elements, repetitions or prayers. The quality of the video is good. Keep in mind that these things are never perfect but useful and rewarding if you don't quit. I would give the program a 4 and one half star rating.
