Paper Mate 85582 FlexGrip Elite Retractable Ballpoint Pens, Fine Point, Black, 12 Count

I love this pen! Normally, I'm very picky about my pens and prefer sharp tips with liquid ink. But at work (paramedic), those pens don't work well because they won't write on gloves or tape or skin. These pens are the best for writing on anything. I even gave it to a nurse the other day who had misplaced her sharpie and couldn't get her pen to write on a plastic wristband (used to note patient allergies). I handed her mine and told her it wrote on almost anything, and she was surprised when it worked! She even exclaimed "it does write on anything!" Why not just use a sharpie you ask? markers or felt tips pens don't work on our 3 layer carbon paper forms (honestly, no pen transfers 100% of the time, but there's a specific rule against felt tip pens because they never transfer). So for me, this pen works on everything and keeps me from carrying a secondary marker with me. I've tried many ballpoint pens, which all work better that gel or liquid ink pens for different surfaces, but this particular pen surpasses others when writing on plastic. I bought a four pack by chance in my search for the greatest work pen ever, and when they ran out couldn't find any more in the stores. Thank goodness for Amazon. I bought this box and a box of the pink cancer awareness ones - nice to have some variety... and I am a girl. Plus, it has a comfy textured grip without being super thick - I can fit 2 in the pen slot of my cargo pocket (will fit in the slot in the shirt pocket too, but I don't use that).

I've used this for years and will only buy this pen. Nice fine tip and perfect for people like me that keep it on your ear! It will not fall off! My #1 go to for a pen hands down. And it never "skips".

These have always been my favorite type of pen. I like the fine point. But for some reason when you click on the end they get stuck and won’t open. I think there’s something wrong with the springs in them. And it’s not just one, it’s happened to three of them.

Great for money

I've been writing with the Paper-Mate FlexGrip for years (black). I always order them by the dozen and they never disappoint. They write smoothly and deliver a fine line of ink every time. *If you drop your pen and it hits point first on a hard surface like concrete or tile it may not write as smoothly :-( Otherwise, they have always worked well for me :-)

I've tried the majority of the pens in the box and they all write well at first and then give out after a few lines. I've tried shaking and scribbling, but nothing. It's like the pens are old and have been sitting in a hot warehouse for years. This is the only explanation I can come up because I've never had a problem with an entire box of pens.

they do the job

It's hard to find a good pen that is not a roller writer pen. As a left hand person I cannot use roller writer pens and it's getting harder to find a regular ink pen. Paper Mate has an excellent product! Hopefully Amazon keeps these around.

These are the only pens that I utilize daily. I love the black colour and find that these pens do not smear or glob. Recommend highly.
