It says "302 pieces" but it's more like "60 pieces + a bunch of stickers"
There are 60 of the plastic stars and a sheet of tiny little stickers. Let's just get that out of the way. The stickers are ~0.5 inch each, and not really what I was aiming for so I was a little disappointed. The plastic stars have a good variety of sizes, shapes, and colors - you get everything you can see through the front of the package, then the rest of the 60 are small (<=1 inch) plastic stars, all the typical yellowish green color.

Starry Nights!
Love 'em! I had them when I was a kid, now my daughter has them too. It also came with the sheet of little sticker stars, planets etc. in addition to the hard plastic ones with the putty. Oh and the putty stuff is included. All together it makes a really nice indoor night sky. She's three and just figured out to be scared of stuff at night. The stars seem like they give her enough of a distraction to look at until she falls asleep without the constant glare of a night light right in her room. Before this she had one of those projection lamps that played music while she fell asleep but we went through batteries like crazy. This is a much nicer and cheaper option me thinks.

overall I'm satisfied with it
We bought this set for our baby girl arriving in a few weeks, overall I'm satisfied with it, they actually glow in the dark and that's all that really mattered to me. They give a good amount of putty for them to stick. If you use it wisely.... These don't need much putty to stick to the wall. I only knocked off a star because I thought I'd have some pieces left over but we ended up using all of them. Seemed like a ton of pieces came with it. But it's literally JUST enough for a small section in our room where our baby sleeps.

Stars glow wonderfully, my kids love them
Stars glow wonderfully, my kids love them! The only down side to this product is the pack of stickers. The product is advertised as 300 glowing star pieces, which there are, but half of those are glow in the dark stickers. Not actual plastic stars. That kinda bummed me out, but not enough to lower my review any further.

... a sticker sheet of stars too that I almost like better than the big ones
Comes with a sticker sheet of stars too that I almost like better than the big ones. The big ones are very bright, which is nice but also kind of much for me, I bought it for myself though, not kids. I'm 25 and just wanted a cool project to do in my room before bed. But the big ones are awesome too

Very nice with one downfall.
I love the set, but when it says over 300 stars. If you add the stars on the back, there is actually less than 300, For a couple dollars more I could have gotten two times the amount of stars. Over all not a bad item they are still on my roof and I did noit need any extra putty.

Fewer stars than you expected? Us, too.
Like other reviewers have said, the "over 300 pieces" claim is technically true, but essentially deceptive. We were dismayed to open this up and see only 4 - four! - large-sized stars.Contents, according the back of the box:- 4 large stars (about 3.5" diameter)- 7 small stars (1.5" diameter)- 8 mini stars (1")- 43 micro stars (micro is right, 0.5")- 10 astros (kinda cool, up to 5" across, they have a moon, shooting star, 2 ringed planets, 1 Jupiter-like planet, a lightning bolt, a galaxy, and something else that I can't identify)- 1 adhesive sheet (230 shapes)So basically you only get 70 real items, most of which are way too small to be spending hours trying to hang up with tiny bits of putty anyway. And the adhesive sheet is a joke...yes, it is glow-in-the dark, but it is mostly tiny little stars reminiscent of what a teacher would buy at the dollar store and put on your paper when you correctly name all 9 - er, 8 - planets on your science test.So if you want to spend hours hanging up tiny little stars that no one will even be able to see, go for it. You'll get a few cool items but not much else. Rating as 2-stars instead of 1 because if they'd charged only $8-10 and accurately listed the contents instead of trying to fool their customers, it'd be an okay product.

these are great, have had them on the bedroom ceiling for a few months now and they glow bright so bright, just put the main bedroom light on for half hour to charge them up and they glow beautifully for around 4 hours, look cosmic, they work best spread apart a bit for a lovely ' twinkly night sky ' effect, a great buy! very pleased :-)
