Yes it’s quite a roomy pocket, yes ,you could fit antibacterial wipes in it, obviously dependant on the size of the pack.

does this bag keep food chilled without an ice pack?

Yes. However, if there is an ice pack, the chilled effect will be better.

How long does it hold the temperature for?

No idea, sorry ! Not had it in the summer yet. But it is a nice strong bag , a lot better than the last one I bought.

Will both side mesh pockets fit 500ml bottles?

I put 500ml bottles on both sides every day. It definitely fits
