Replaced a thermostat that had failed. This was easy to install. Instructions were clear, and the parts come apart and reassemble as they should. The temperature stays pretty close to where it is set, so I would purchase another one of these immediately if I needed another thermostat.

Works great with my heat pump. Big bright display with easy to use controls. Simple to install yourself, detailed instructions included.

Straight forward Thermostat. Easy to read (big letters and numbers), and program. The only thing wrong is it reads the temperature incorrectly. It reads 2 - 3 degrees higher than reality. Overall happy with the purchase.

My old thermostat gave up the ghost after 11 years, and I tried a Honeywell that was awful (constantly cycled the heat pump on and off, as many as 10 times an hour.) I read the reviews and found this one, which was very similar to my old thermostat. I wanted something simple, with the ability to control the amount of cycling on and off the way my old one did. I don't need all the "gee-whiz" features like wireless and access through my phone, I would never use that. My system works best to just set it and leave it alone. No complaints at all, easy to install and set up, very happy with it.

Thermostat was easy to set up and program, worked great for three months, then came down to a room that was 85 degrees when set for 64. Oil is expensive enough without burning it all night! Kudos to Amazon for allowing a return past the timeframe, planned on getting a new one, but think I'll pass and try another brand...

I purchased two of these ELECTECK 5-1-1 Day Programmable Digital Thermostats for my home and another one for my relatives home. I am only using it to run the gas heating furnace. I use a two wire connection which is using the batteries (2 AAA) to trigger the relay and switch the furnace on/off. I do like the large numbers and the blue backlight that comes on when adjusting the thermostat with the buttons. It is very easy to read and good for my older eyes. The programming is pretty easy to figure out, the instructions are good explaining the operation of the buttons. Just an FYI these thermostats replaced the top of the line Nest thermostats which I have had for almost 3 years. The Nests have a mind of there own as far as heating goes. I was absolutely disgusted with the operation of the WiFi learning thermostats. In the 3 years I had them, I saved zero on heating charges. The scheduled temperature was always being overridden by a few degrees because of the learning function which you can never really turn off permanently. The temperature would be set up to maintain 68 degrees but the temperature inside would get to 66.5 degrees before it would turn on my furnace. These ELECTECK 5-1-1 Day Programmable Digital Thermostats are a major upgrade in my honest opinion. Nest, never again!

For a gas only system with only two wires, this is so easy to install and use. I am red/green color blind. Just hook up the white wire to W terminal, and the dark wire to the RH terminal. On the dry wall, mark and drill two holes using an 11/16" drill bit for the screws' drywall anchors. Tap in and secure. The display light defaults to a dim mode (saves batteries), but snaps to highly visible blue contrast by tapping top menu button. Programmable 4 levels (M-F, and Sa, and Su), say 1. warm at 6 am, 2. cooler at 9 am (no one home); 3. warmer at 4 pm ; cold at 11 pm. You can adjust the thermometer to +- 3* F by accessing the 'Technician' setup mode.

I have simple, heat only, forced air furnace so this was very easy to set up. Programming was MUCH easier than my old Noma that recently started acting funny. Manual did not mention switch to C from the default F but it does come up in the long list of settings. I wish they had put a slot at the back of the frame to hold the manual. There are so many options for first set up and the abbreviations on the screen would be hard to understand without the chart in the book. Not to worry as all those settings are unlikely to be needed (never seen a thermostat with so many options) so you just leave it at defaults. (eg. you can adjust/calibrate the room temp reading that displays on the screen by several degrees (I guess if you have to mount it somewhere that is not quite the same temp as the main part of the room?)). Setting day and time is so very easy! The default settings for 6a-8a, 8-6, 6p-10, and overnight are perfect but you can adjust them if you prefer. Great to have M-F as one program and then another for Sat and another for Sun. I think there is a "special day" setting as well. Screen is easy to read. Shows a flame symbol when calling for heat (very handy if you are trying to figure out if the furnace/pilot light is working).

Bought this to experiment with in an RV. Similar models with compatible features were priced higher. Noticed that when I opened the delivery package that the box seal was already broken open and that the battery compartment cover wasn’t fitted correctly so I’m assuming that someone else had this and returned it? As said, it’s experimental at this stage so not too concerned unless it fails to operate correctly. Also noticed that when I installed the batteries that the measured temperature was at least 2 degrees C higher than that on another thermostat in the same room. This is adjustable through the software so I can play with that. Other than, it seems good value for the price, time will tell when I install. Edit update....Installed it into the RV, as others have mentioned it was really an easy install. I gave my girlfriend the briefest of instruction on how to set the daily programmes and she uses it like a pro' now. Also easy to adjust the temperature settings between set times to allow for boost in temperature etc. The blue backlight is bright and the display is easy to read. It's easily programmed and operated and I like the fact that there are "Technician" accessible menus where you can change things in the software to suit your needs. I was able to change the measured temperature to match another temperature gauge in the room. Other things are adjustable too, like Celcius or Farenheit display, temperature hysterisis (how much above and below temperature set the thermostat switches at). I read in other reviews that these units had failed or didn't backlight etc. Not experienced any problems so far with this one and it was good value for money. Noticed that about a week after I received it the price went up by about $6.

Actually we notice that the temperatures are constant.

Je dois avouer cependant que c'est ma faute, j'aurais dû lire et poser la question mais il est trop tard. J'en avais besoin rapidement en période de canicule alors on fait avec jusqu'à ce qu'on en as marre de n'avoir que l'affichage en Farenheit
