Supernatural Soundtrack - Seasons 1-5

Anyone looking at the reviews for this item should have figured it out by now, but I'll reiterate: this is not a CD collection of the various rock songs used in the show. It is also not, as one reviewer claimed, a CD of "sound effects". I watch the show, yes, but I'm not sure that I would be interested in recordings of screams, howls, nasty ripping sounds, and the other etc. that a collection of sound effects would entail. Then again, never say never.What it IS is a CD of the original instrumental music recorded for the show (hence the use of the word "original". I'll try to keep my snarkiness in check from here on out).All in all, it's also a pretty good representative selection of the music written for the show, with a few favorites that will make any fan happy. The range includes several sober, emotional pieces as well as more action-oriented pieces ("Decapitation Variations" is a favorite) and extended versions of the end credits and the guitar theme. A few of the songs had me hunting for the episodes they appeared in; like a lot of good soundtrack music, they support the scenes in the show rather than overpower them, and several times I couldn't identify where I'd heard them before. This was actually a bonus, rather than an annoyance, as it prompted me to start watching the show from the beginning again, something I hadn't done in a long time.Bottom line- if you're a fan of the show, buy the soundtrack. So long as you aren't harboring expectations of hearing AC/DC cuts, you won't be disappointed. For the rock songs, do as another reviewer suggested- find them as individual downloads, it's easy to do here on Amazon or from other stores. From there, you're just a hop, skip and a burn (or in the case of mp3 players, a list) away from having your very own Supernatural mixes.

I believe that I was mislead when I ordered the soundtrack from the show Supernatural.This isn't what I expected and I don't even play the music at all-thought this was going to be the classic rock music that is always played in most of the episodes including the songs you hear when the show is either beginning or ending;ie...the song that began episode 1 of season 4 Lazerus Rising or the song that played at the end of the episode Bloody Mary-I am truly disappointed in the soundtrack-the disc is great no problems at all-plays great but I just seriously don't like the music on the soundtrack that's all.

I've been waiting forever for them to release a soundtrack of the original music to this great show.BE AWARE, FOLKS: This is the ORIGINAL music that was written specifically for the show. (Hence the title--Supernatural: Original Television Soundtrack.) It is NOT the classic rock that was recorded by other artists and requires the purchasing of additional rights and is under copyright to other entities. There are plenty of sites that list which classic rock song(s) were used in which episode, and if they're not already in your collection, you can download those songs from such sites as iTunes and create your own classic rock soundtrack. It just takes a little more effort.But this! This is the music I could never successfully find anywhere else! This is Dean's guitar riff, a longtime favorite of mine. This is the hard-driving music that accompanied the Winchester break-in at the auction house in "Provenance." This is the end credit music--extended! THIS is the stuff I've been waiting for! And the titles are hilarious!But not only does it have the rockin' original riffs, it's got the soft, melodic pieces that pull at your heart strings, the songs that speak of the brothers' emotional journey, their deepest hurts and their fondest memories.I admit I'm something of a soundtrack/score/original cast recording geek, so this fits right in with the rest of my collection. But really, there is so much awesome here. I'm also glad I got the CD rather than downloading, because the CD comes with liner notes.My only disappointment is that it doesn't include the theme song to Supernatural the sit-com from "Changing Channels." That would have been classic.

Well first off if you already scrolled down far enough to read this you should have already seen the track list for this CD. If you did you would have seen that this CD is for the ORIGINAL SCORE/SOUNDTRACK created specifically for the show SUPERNATURAL.The CD recieved a handful of bad reviews from 6 or 7 people, not because the product is of poor quality or the songs are bad; but because those few idiots bought the CD without actually bothering to look at the track list or sampling the preview for each track. They were all so excited, expecting to buy a CD with all the Classic Rock songs created by other artists like AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Boston etc. but instead ended up with the ORIGINALLY CREATED Soundtrack/Score instead. And because they were giant morons instead of kicking themselves for buying something without reading it they trashed a fantastic CD for no reason at all. Again it goes without saying: MORONS!!!Now on to the reivew of the actual CD itself. It has an amazing set list and has all the songs that any fan of Supernatural has been looking and waiting for and haven't been able to find.....till now!!! This Soundtrack is amazing even though it's all instrumental, from the awesome guitar riffs to the calm and touching melodies from the more somber moments in the show. This music is really worth owning, but I would ignore the different titles for each track, they seem to be more humorous then descriptive for example: "Gratuitous Sex and Violins"I would strongly recommend this CD. Whether you're a fan of the show or not I would recommend this to anyone who is a fan of good instrumental music.

En la descripcion no especifica nada y pues yo pense que era el soundtrack osea la musica pero solo es la musica ambiental. Toda la musica de fondo solamente. Si estas interesado en eso compralo pero si estas buscando las canciones de los diferentes grupos musicales pues esta no es la opcion.

Not what you think is jut the melody of songs. Doesn't have lyrics however was a present for a die hard fan so she liked anyway
