Ross-Simons Onyx Scrollwork Ring in 14kt Yellow Gold

The gold is substantial! The filigree scrolls are elegant and detailed. The gold glimmers and gleams. The onyx cabochon is gold. It’s a great ring at a great price. This ring is for the discerning ring aficionado who is drawn to elegance, class, history, and vintage glory.

This ring was a gift, so more importantly,It was my wife's opinion that mattered.The 14it black onyx ring was beautiful, She loved it. Only one set back, for the price of a gold ring it came in a fairly nominal box. This was easily remedied with Amazon's fine selection of ring boxes, I chose a lighted one for a great presentation. Presentation is everything, the wow factor when you open the lid. After that the ring held its own, beautiful in everyway. Reccomend this ring highly.

This ring is only a few months old. I was working at my desk and when I looked down at my ring I noticed the gold section that covers the stone was 90% lifted off the stone. It is amazing that I didn't lose the stone! I guess it doesn't matter though because I can't wear the ring in this condition. What has happened to the quality of jewelry and merchandise? I expected more from Ross-Simons Jewelry company.

You will see in the video the ring is totally beautiful and I do love it, however, the under side of the basket that holds the stone on each side is very thin gold and very sharp almost like a knife blade. The ring is true to size as I said it is very beautiful, it is to expensive for an uncomfortable ring. This ring would be good to wear out on a night out or something like that if you want to pay the 500 plus it cost but if you are looking for an everyday wearable ring this is not it. It is more beautiful than the listing photo. The detail on the sides and underneath add to the beauty. I’m looking forward to having it resized to fit just a bit better.Something to consider, if you like rings to sit flat to your hand, this one does not. It is raised pretty high.

I was surprised to notice it was shipped within hours of placing my order and received it within a couple of days. Thanks. It is also much more feminine than I was expecting. The detail work is perfect and it just captures the eye as the diamond cuts bring out the beauty of the ring perfectly. I am very pleased and it is a ring I can wear every day, and will do so. This ring too fell apart top part scrolled gold lid just fell off, and I have insurance on this would like to know what to do for insurance to repair

The media could not be loaded. I saw a few ppl inquiring about its stamp. Its Definitely stamped 14k but its so tiny you can only see it in good lighting or a cellphone flashlight. I’m in awe… it’s beautifully crafted (so much so my daughter said it should be an heirloom), sturdy but light weight and shiny. I might just buy the matching pendant necklace…Edit: I’m updating my review because quite honestly I gave it more credit than it deserved. The craftsmanship of the ring is very poor… I’ve had this ring for 5 months now and within the month the delicate structure holding the stone in began to come apart and break. I stopped using it daily and within a few more times of wearing the ring it’s completely broken apart (see video). Not only is the price way to high for this kind of craftsmanship but I now have to pay several hundred dollars MORE to fix it. I’m sadden by the fact that I initially thought I would be able to pass this ring on to one of my daughter's… now I dont know if I would even be able to get it fixed. I hope this review helps others make a conscious decision when purchasing this ring. :(
