I used this with a Sony E-mount 16-50mm. The shade is not usable below 18mm due to heavy vignetting. If you're considering this as a hood for this particular Sony lens, look elsewhere. Consider using a combination of a step-up ring and larger diameter hood.

nice item for the money and came with a lens cap and a rubber device to remove stuck filters. Nice little package.

Okay, I bought this just because it looked so unusual (cool!?) & was affordable. Its really not that practical as it lets light & dust in thru the side openings even with a lens cap on. Plus, with my Sony A6000 standard lens I get a little vignetting when zoomed completely out. And, each added filter increases the vignetting noticeably. But, its still cool ;-)

Not suitable for the Sony 16-50mm compact zoom, the kit lens on the Sony a6000 and Sony a6300. Causes vignetting. Dark corners in the picture. You can see the lens shade in the corners of the picture when shooting with wide angle.

If you just need a hood for everyday shooting, you can’t go wrong here.

For Nikon S2 cam/Nikkor 5cm 2.0 lens. Good product and price. Fits & threads well. Minimal intrusion into viewfinder field of the rangefinder cam. 52mm cap neato. Easy on/off, good protection. Overall quite pleased.

Awesome little lenshood. Fits my Jupiter lens perfectly. Came with snap on lens cap which is a nice touch.

It does the job.. I had to give it a 3 though because what is in my opinion a rather large design flaw. It comes with a 52mm lens cap to fit over the hood.. but the problem is that dust and whatever is still able to enter through the vents on the hood. A different hood I purchased allowed me to use my original lens cover to protect the lens (much like with a filter), but original lens cover doesn't work when using this hood. I'm pretty picky about covering my lenses, so this means I either need to find a 41mm cover that might fit, or every time I switch lenses or put it in my bag I'm going to have to remove this lens hood so I can properly cover the lens.

louverture ne se rend pas a 16 mm on voit un hallo noir.. commence a 24 mm a etre efficace.. tres bon produit, tres bonne livraison, mais ne fait pas sur 16 - 50 mm de sonny...

I'm sure it's fine on other lenses but this causes vignetting at 16mm and probably anything below 20mm.
