The information included is excellent. The species history is fascinating for a fish nerd like me. The only thing that I feel was missing is a list of appropriate plants for an aquascaped beta aquarium.

Interesting. Informative. Intriguing. There is more to the beautiful betta than just its pretty looks. A must read for beginner betta enthusiasts.

Got this book for our daughter as part of an Christmas gift (tank, fish, etc). She had already done a lot of research on Bettas online but has learned some new things from this book. She frequently has it out to reference things as she takes care of her new Betta tank setup. A good read with a plethora of useful info for Betta care.

I was excited for this book for it being about how to care for a betta fish but unfortunately it doesn't have enough caring information about a betta fish. For example, the book talks about live plants but doesnt go into depth on what kind of live plants are good for betta fish. It seems that this book is mainly about the history and different types of betta fish that are out there. What I do like about the book is the sorority, easy to know diseases and how to treat them, and tip and tricks information.

I “love” Betta fish! They help calm my fears and are a great pet companion to me. I had one when I was a teenager and I really want another one. I wanted to know how to give him the best life possible. This book is exactly what I was looking for! It is great for beginners and it is easy to understand! I also found it an interesting read. We bought our son a new Betta for a homeschool project. He really wanted to know how to take care of him and learn all he could about his new pet. This has been a great book of reference for him, he refers back to it often and has taught us so much. This is a great resource for kids who want to learn about Betta fish. Highly recommend for kids and adults.

A well organized book to get started on betta. Gives beginners good advice on buying and caring of the fish.

A nice starter guide to Betta fish care, easy to read, I bought it for my kids to get on board as they wanted a Betta, we could pull out interesting and fun facts about Betta, feeding, origin, species, training,etc. A comment to improve would be that the illustrations could be clearer for a better experience, could also be helpful for children. Do not expect an expert guide. However, you can tell that the author, Wallter James, really cares about the Betta fish. I can recommend it.
