CURT 56008 Vehicle-Side Custom 4-Pin Trailer Wiring Harness for Select Honda Accord Crosstour, Acura RDX

This Curt trailer wiring harness was a perfect choice for my 2013 Acura RDX. Acura made installing the wiring harness really easy. There is no splitting of wires. You just plug in the harness from this to the harness on the rear left of the vehicle behind a panel. The only decision to make is whether or not you want this permanently installed or are good with just the wire being clamped under the tailgate. I chose permanent, so I did have to take apart some panels and remove the spare tire to get to the grommet that allowed feeding the wire under the vehicle and routing it to the rear. This wire is perfect length for doing that for my 2013 Acura RDX. Overall, the process wasn't all the bad, but it takes time and since this vehicle is older, it often breaks clips when disassembling which I had to replace. After installing the trailer lights, I had to put in the fuse (included with this harness) for the trailer harness which is right under the engine. It doesn't come pre-installed, so if you don't do it the lights aren't going to work. After hooking up the harness from the bike trailer lights to the Curt harness, everything worked like a charm. Brakes and signals are perfect. Lights up when the headlights are turned on at the appropriate brightness. This is a very solid product!

Installed in 20 minutes. The hardest part was locating the car side wire harness. I did not route the wire out under the bumper because it will only be used occasionally. 2013 Acura RDX

This harness is made to connect to the vehicle's existing towing package harness in the spare tire area. All RDXs have this towing package harness connector, so don't worry! (Lexux RX350 and similar vehicles have one too) Lift up the rear floorboard to see the spare tire, and the connector is right under the black Styrofoam, on the right side of the car, near the end that is close to the rear seats. Just plug the blue harness connectors together and you are done!!! It took more time to take the items out of the hatch area than it did to install this harness! It's well worth the time to do it yourself, than it would to pay someone to install it. Even if you're not a DIY type of person. I was able to install my actual towing hitch and the wiring harness in less than an hour thanks to this wiring harness and the ease of the Honda / Acura designs.

Recently installed a Tow hitch for my SUV and needed this accessory while towing a U haul trailer. The instructions were easy to follow. I recommend people to watch youtube videos for your particular model. There are ways to conceal the wires and bring it below the car but I just let it hang in the trunk and hide it when not in use. Overall a very good product.

This kit is perfect! EVERYTHING you will need for this QUICK wiring harnes install is in the package. Even 2-sided tape to affix the "Module" to the left aft (under) storage compartment. Here's the thing...apparently CURT knows what they're doing. Fuse protection for the harness is included as well as a "Micro" 10-amp fuse for the Crosstour's engine compartment fuse box to "activate" the TRAILER circuit. Instructions & color photo illustrations were accurate for Honda Crosstour. Beautiful package. And you can coil the wiring harness beneath the plastic tray when not in use (just avoid the "feet" of the tray to prevent chaffing). ZERO wire cuts and NO fabrication. Even the wiring harness connector was COLOR CODED light BLUE, to match the Honda's waiting trailer connection. Fantastic job, CURT!

This works fantastic, plug and play kind of idea. Took about 3 minutes to install on my 2009 Acura RDX Turbo.

Very easy to install in my 20143 Acura RDX. I just removed the cargo area access panel, plugged in the connector, and added a fuse in the engine compartment fuse box. (I decided not to take out my spare and the surrounding rigid foam blocks to run cabling below the car to a permanent trailer plug. I just shoved the cable beneath the side/floor panel from the access panel into the spare tire well. That was easy as well. The wires are thin enough to cross over the weather stripping when the tailgate is closed. Unless you tow often, that's the approach I recommend.)

Once I found the plug in my 2007 Acura RDX, it worked great. I put the fuse in the box under the hood (only space without a fuse), plugged in the light blue connector, and that was all. HOWEVER, my RDX DOES have the access plate on driver's side, but the plug was not in there. I felt around all over, and was tempted to start disassembling that side. Then I decided to try the other "no access plate" instructions. These were not very accurate, but it did get me looking on the passenger side. I found the plug under the black Styrofoam piece that surrounds the spare tire. I did not remove it, but just lifted the end closest to the seat. I did take all the mats and covers off, including the piece that touches the back seat.

Easy install. Hassle free and direct connect to factory wiring. Couldn't be happier. I work as a RV service tech. This kit is as easy as it gets.

Installed this on 2016 Acura RDX. Came with great instructions and plenty of zip-ties, plus a fuse and eyelet connector. Have had it well over a year and it's holding up perfectly. The plug-in to the car's connector was perfect fit.

Absolutely perfect fit for 2010 Honda Crosstour! This was exactly as advertised and fit perfectly right down to the blue colour coding attachment to the blue connector provided by Honda. The whole process to install only took a few minutes to accomplish. The only matter of concern was the lack of stickiness of the pads to attach the black unit box to the steel frame; easily overcome with some duct tape. Excellent transaction and excellent fit.

Used this on a 2015 Acura RDX, easy install, the rubbery cap to fit over the connecter tore while installing it but does not affect anything as the connector sits inside the vehicle when not in use anyway

Works awesome, no issues here. This was one of the easiest things I've had to add to a vehicle. Lots of videos out there to help with the install. I decided to store the wiring harness in my trunk in the spare tire compartment as opposed to running it under the car; simply because I want it to last longer than the harness I had on another vehicle which was mounted under (corroded by salt/moisture). Tip - make sure you have a body panel tool to ensure plastic clips come off car/truck easily and quickly.
