Works with programming. “2012 BMW f10 528xi”
It’s Amazon listing shows incompatible with my 2012 bmw f10 528xi but verified matching part number and visual of board traces matched. Installed module and used bmw ista software, unlike a lot of other aftermarket modules it actually responded to the ecu and programmed. Functionality restoredWill update on life expectancy if for some reason it goes out. But $38 vs used oem modules for $300+ or new for even more. It’s a deal

Plug n Play For Halos/Turn Signal But Adaptive Lights Require Coding/Initialization
Installed in a 2012 528i xDrive and so far it's working great! Got the turn signal and halos working immediately after install, then used ISTA+ to initialize/calibrate the adaptive lights. All working fine with no errors so far, but will update if anything goes wrong.

Will not fix Adaptive Headlight Malfunction and Vertical Aim control
I have a 2011 BMW 535i and my drivers side headlight tms module went out. The halos, blinker, vertical aim adjustment and adaptive headlight function were not working. I bought this module and installed it and it does work, it’s a very easy install. Immediately after installing the halos and blinker worked perfectly how they should. I know I was still gonna have the adaptive headlight malfunction and vertical aim adjustment malfunction until I got it coded. So I took it to a verified BMW mechanic and he could not communicate with this module, so I can’t get those errors off. This module will not fix the adaptive headlights and vertical aim adjustment and it will keep those annoying errors on your dash. Other then that the product does work and is a fraction of the oem part, but if you want it completely fixed this part will not work. It can not be coded to your vehicle.

High quality product, not like others.
Gret product, perfect fit, easy to install. YOU MUST TO ADAPT IT TO THE VEHICLE USING PROFESIONAL SCAN TOOL in order for the message to disappear from your main screen.

Defective
The tech put the unit in and tried to program it. It doesn't communicate with the computer. I am not having the tech remove it as that costs more labor. Seems to be a repeated issue with these units. I dont even have an option to contact the seller for a refund, since the only option involves returning these units and that costs more in labor than the part

So far so good
Have a 2013 550I with adaptive headlight error. BMW want $500 for this module. The pic on the left is the BMW module. It has a coating on the board, I assume to protect it from the elements. This board does not have a coating. Installed through the cutout in the wheel well. One bolt was hard to access due to the sheet metal in front of the bolt. I managed to angle a t20 bit and turn it. Alternatively you could remove the headlight which is a lot more disassembly. After installation, I had to use ISTA to initialize the unit. The error was resolved. I read a lot of reviews where people still had a error after installation. That was not the case for my make/model. Without the protective coating, not sure how long it will last. A light coating of epoxy may be helpful. If it fails again I may try doing that. Overall it was very doable with a little patience, and save yourself a few hundred dollars.
