One Piece Unlimited World Red: Straw Hat Edition (Nintendo Wii U)

I have been an avid One Piece fan for many many years and the episodes are still as funny now as they were back when we first met Luffy and Koby. I have also been a huge fan of JRP games and have been thoroughly enjoying One Piece Unlimited Red and have to admit that this game is what I wanted and expected out of the recent Final Fantasy games which have sadly taken a drop in quality over the years.The game uses the same Japanese voice actors as those who voice the anime series therefore the game is subbed in English which adds to the game and pulls you into the storyline especially for us One Piece fans.The game is full of many side quests including bug hunting, fishing, balloon catching along with many mini games. The actual game play runs smoothly and the fighting sequences are tremendous fun where you freely move your character and decide which of the (in the case of Luffy) gomu gomu moves you wish to knock your opponent out with. I have also enjoyed playing as Zoro (still haven't got lost yet!), Sanji, Nami, Chopper, Franky (strong right), Usopp and the lovely Robin.I have only had the game for a week and have yet to complete it but would not hesitate to recommend it to a JRP enthusiast especially if they have a fondness for One Piece.

The Wii u has been crying out for a good non mario game and this game is it. If you love the anime you will love the game. If you have never heard of the anime its still a good game. Good cell shaded graphics with an overtop fighting system with the moves diffectly out of the anime.Get this this game its as some.

Features a great story that ties in perfectly with the series (though supposed to be non-canon). You can really feel that the show writers had their way with it. As for gameplay nothing to innovative: it's a hack and slash action game with some J-RPG elements,My only regret is that the game is made to be completed by a monkey with two opposable thumbs, only after 45h worth of gameplay have I reached a point where my theory-crafting, stat-balancing and upgrades actually matter. And still, at this point in the game all I have to worry about is getting one-shotted by certain boss attacks.To add upon the game being to easy; the co-op mode is terrible. There is split screen but rather than each getting 50% of the screen, you each get about 35% where the rest of the screen is a wallpaper. This and the fact that the co-op player (or the AI player) in your team is impervious to enemy attacks. They will never receive damage but will gain most of all other benefits. This can make player two characters very overpowered and abusable. (Tanking everything with Zoro's extremely good guard while Luffy and Sanji stack up energy for their ultimates basically ensures you will never lose again.)That being said I have now clocked in 50h of gametime and I am loving the game. Every single minute is amazing. There is a lot to discover, many references to the show, good humour; and if you play fair, a very enjoyable two-player experience. If you are a One Piece fan than I garantuee you will have tons of fun smashing about as Luffy, summoning thunder with Nami or with any of Chopper's 8 forms! Not to mention all non-Straw Hats featured.. ;-)'

Got what looks like a French version of the game - needs to be clearer that you are not getting an English version of the game given the order is through the UK Amazon website.

such an enjoyable game, I (like the rest of the reviewers i see) am a huge fan of the show and this game ties nicely in with the story line from it, the game play is thoroughly enjoyable to the point i can't pick a favorite character to play as (aside from luffy of course). Any fan of the series will not regret buying this

Really good game, it feels like your playing an actual episode and it somewhat feels abit like Kingdom hearts with the different world's and the graphics are nice too! Very much worth the purchase!

Great addition to the Wii U, gameplay is simple and frantic but follows the one piece story extremely well. Gameplay is an adventure game with fighting mechanics.Additionally it includes a battle mode which allows you to have an area type of face off. The game is not as deep as the Naruto series but excellent for young and old thanks to the wonderful characters.

Colis bien livré à la date prévue. Le seul et plus gros soucis, c'est que dès les 1ères heures du jeu, un énorme bug d'affichage au niveau des écritures apparaît. Ce qui rend le jeu beaucoup moins intéressant. J'ai appris plus tard, lors d'une recherche sur Internet, que beaucoup de personnes ayant ce jeu ont eu le même problème sur diverses consoles et se sont plaints auprès de Bandai Namco, qui a préféré leur tourner le dos.
