Amazing!
I recently broke my big toe and my doctor advised me to getting one of these to help with the healing. After using this in my shoe for a few weeks, I now wish i would have bought 2, one for each foot. It is very strong and flexible, is pretty much a true size to every show i wear. I only wish it came with a wide option, since i have very wide feet. This insert will allow you to walk with comfort and help alleviate the stress of the weight you place on your foot. Worth every dollar.

Great for stress fractures
This is a really good product if you have stress fractures and are unable to wear a boot. You can put this in your sneaker underneath the sole. It does a good job of preventing your shoe from bending while walking. To note is that it is slightly large, I ordered an 8 to fit in a size 8.5 sneaker. But it's working well and has alleviated the majority of the pain from the fracture.

Careful! Read the whole description. You receive only ONE insert. Pair costs $120-140
Value?A **pair** of this model will cost you $125.90Read very carefully. You receive *one* insert. Most alternative, competitive offers, even at lower prices are for a *pair*.Can you imagine the distorted gait from walking with only one rigid footbed? You really need two for gait symmetry.Consider the effects of gait asymmetry on knees and hips. Looking forward to further comparison, especially the cut edge finish. I expect a significantly superior edge finish at this price, to prevent “sawing action” cutting through the upper of costly shoes.

Thin, lightweight, and effective
Bought this for my left shoe/foot to help stabilize an arthritic joint, and reduce pain. The plate is super thin and couldn’t tell a difference between my left snd right shoes in terms of height. The insert immediately provided relief for my left foot. I am having surgery to fuse the arthritic joint so not sure if I’ll continue to use this afterwards - but if/when I have more arthritis in the future, I’d definitely buy this insert again.

Exactly as advertised but feels like a poor value.
A stiff strong piece of carbon fiber shaped line an insole. Size is as advertised.I looked it up and the material+packaging cost for one of these things isn't more than $20. I guess the machine they use to cut them (waterjet?) must be pretty expensive - I don't feel like I got a good deal.Nevertheless, the product is as promised and most seem cost around the same amount, so who knows. I'd like to give fewer stars but anyone buying these is gonna be shopping on price and they shouldn't hesitate to get this one if it's the right price for them.

Buy your actual size shoe
I read the earlier reviews saying to go down a size so I did. I wear a size 9 so got 8. When I received it the size was too short and it slides in my shoe. I should of bought size 9. Now I will have to return it.

Exactly what the injured foot needed
A family member suffered a foot injury on a Thursday evening walk. Friday morning it did not bear weight. Urgent care physician provided the dreaded injured-foot no-flex sandal. Ugh. Went home, did r.i.c.e. for the rest of the day, along with crutches and no sandal. Saturday morning, amazingly it was much improved. Bit the sandal felt like a clown-shoe accident waiting to happen. Remembered from prior family foot injuries that instead of the dreaded clown-shoe-feeling sandal, in certain cases one can use a carbon insole in a supportive shoe. Ordered it and felt very fortunate that it arrived in early the afternoon the next day. With the carbon insole placed in the supportive Gaviota sneaker, the family member was able to meet a friend at an evening stadium game, and had great (relative) comfort and support. A couple of days later, during the followup with a podiatrist who checked out this carbon insole, got the thumbs up.Very glad this was available and good!

Worst company to deal with!
This product is too wide for a woman's foot but it is advertised as for a woman or a man. I had to bring it to my foot surgeon on the 31st day after I received it, and when she said it would not work, I tried to return it, but was refused since it had a 30 day return window. Amazon was of no help. Be sure this is exactly what you want because returning is not allowed.
