Nice looking cookie cutter
Nice sturdy cutter. Seems to be made well. I unfortunately got it a day after I made sugar cookies so I haven't used it yet, but can see that I'll probably have to use a bit thicker dough as some of the bits are fairly thin (the tail, the wing, snout). I do think it's a nice shape though and with a bit of practice should work just fine for me.Just wanted to say, I finally made cookies with this and they turned out great. I was worried the tail might be too thin, but it comes out of the cutter very easy and didn't have one break. It does tend to be thin and burn easily on the tail, though. I chilled the dough and kept a close eye out on them and that fixed the problem. Will be definitely using it again!

This is very cute, but the cookie cutter tail ...
This is very cute, but the cookie cutter tail is very slender and therefore the tail on the cookies becomes very fragile.

Love this, but takes a little more work
We love dragons so I bought this for making cookies. Makes lovely cookies, but I need to use a butter knife to make sure the dough doesn't get stuck in the tail, head, or wing tips.

Works Great. As Advertised.
Advice from a Retired Professional BakerWell made, durable, and completely functional cookie cutter. For the reviews complaining about the dough getting stuck in the more narrow sections of this cutter, you need to make sure your cookie dough is thick enough, and well floured to handle the cutter. You also need to make sure you are using a correctly balanced sugar cookie recipe with enough fat to allow for dough flexibility. I did not have any issues having dough sticking in the corners. Of course, handle these cut out cookies with care, as this cutter yields a more intricate cookie shape which requires delicate handling. I would say this not an ideal cutter for the beginner or novice, but more intermediate and advanced.

One Star
It rusted the first time I washed it. (And yes, I washed it by hand.)Extremely disappointing.

Tailless dragons
Purchased to cut out brownies for a How to Train your Dragon birthday party. The tail was so thin and snout, ( do dragons have snouts?) That they didn't turn out.

I really like this cookie cutter
I really like this cookie cutter. The dragon looks very realistic. I used it with sugar cookies and they came out great. Don't roll your dough too thin it will be hard to get the tail and wing out.

Okay
On most of my cookies, a foot or a tail or wing got stuck in the cutter after the rest of the cookie released. It was a pretty easy fix (poke out with knife, smoosh back on cookie), but it was still annoying as heck and made some funky-footed dragons. Still, this worked for dragon cookies. People mostly knew that they were dragons after I told them, "Look, I made dragon cookies!" I don't know if it would be easy to tell that otherwise. Once you know they're dragons, though, they look like dragons.
