They did need a little breaking in as the bottoms are fairly sturdy but nothing crazy. I just wouldn't wear them day one for an all day walkabout. I would go as far to say as these are the nicest looking 'classy flip flop' I have owned. I wear them pretty much every day and they are still in fantastic shape. I have also gotten them dirty but a suede brush brings them back to life instantly. Yup I have gotten them wet as well (many times) but they dry out perfectly and the material isn't ruined. NIce sandals for the price
I was looking for an easy casual sandal that was a bit dressier than basic flip flops. These do that for me. They fit me well, I have a high arch and a normal size width size 7 foot. The high arch can be an issue if the soles of a shoe are too hard and flat or if the material is cut too low to the sole. I was happily surprised they fit really well. They have a small amount of give, not too much, and they look nice. There are sandals 4-5X this price that I could never wear because they would hurt me for the above reason. Great price for a Ralph Lauren product.

Damaged
The 1st time I ordered these sandals they were too small (9) sent them back and repurchased @ a size 10 because they are cut small.
