Pyramid PSV500 Universal Compact 50 Amp Adjustable 12 to 15 Volts Output Home Bench Power Converter Supply, with 2 USB Ports and Overload Protection

Works as advertised! Low end of the voltage switch is 13.8V; the high end is 15V. Easy to set up with the power terminals in the front. My power out wires are running below the device between the feet. I currently (no pun intended) have three mobile Ham radios running on the device.

My wife purchased this power supply for me back in January of '23. I have had zero issues with this power supply since then. It easily powers my Yaesu 857D and my Icom 5100, plus accessories for both radios at the same time, with full power output on both radios.

It was so long ago, I forgot whether the unit lost voltage or amperage first but once it started 3-4 months after purchasing, the decline was rapid. I do remember measuring the output when I first received it, and it was surprisingly accurate as to what the needle meters displayed vs measured amps/volts on my multimeter. Also recall it being unusually loud, but it handled a 25-ish amp load. Since it was now broken, I decided to open it up and see if I could possibly replace any burnt components or maybe find connections that needed to be re-soldered. Discovering what I confidently can say as the worst quality PCB I've ever seen in my life, I'm thankful my house didn't burn down. Now seeing pictures of other reviews, I'm certain quality control was being unknowingly tested by the first group of consumers and as units kept selling, problems were discovered, and alterations were made as time went on. Anyway, I'm pretty sure the Power Supply was the main culprit. I removed it a couple years back and never got around to finding a replacement until now. Has anyone had any luck with fixing a broken unit? Pyramid, please send me a new and updated unit and I will remove this review.

Was in need of a New Power Supply for my Radio Desk. It is Quite, It replaced a megawatt noise machine. the Good- 50 amp, Quite, USB port on the front helpful, Voltage Adjustable 12 to 15, Size is easy to squeeze in to a a desk with 5 radios 3 Ham, GMRS, CB, Scanners. The bad- Have yet to find any. Great Power Supply.

I use the item for powering my cb radio. However it makes a little static noise when use.

The Pyramid PSV500 50 Amp Power Supply is a great product. I use it to power my amateur radio equipment. It has both an Ammeter and Voltmeter and the output voltage is adjustable from 12 to 15 Volts DC. It has two sets of binding posts as well as two 5 volt / 2 amp USB sockets. A great value for the price.

The Power supply works - but like many other reviews, the Power Switch will Fail. Mine just did. Had it ON for an hour, then could not turn it OFF. Switch will not 'click' anymore to power off, so it is ON Constantly. I have to unplug it t turn it off.

I’ve now been using this for over 2 years. It powers 2 12” Kicker subs and a 900 watt Kicker amp. Now while it’s not turned on everyday, I do use it at least a couple times a week for min 4-5hrs at a time. It never overheats, in fact I’ve only ever heard the fan come on once, and when it did, it was very quiet. Would 100% recommend.

I bought in January. Just took out of the box today March 20 2025. Power switch is broken and will not shut power supply off. Power supply is also VERY noisy on my radio
