I like this guitar
Like a lot of guitar players I own too many guitars. I didn't own a classical guitar however, but I wanted one. I started doing research and didn't want to spend a lot somehow I ended up on this one -- and a used one was listed for a really good deal and I bought it. My original plan had been to buy it on a different site, but ti was a deal and I'm glad I decided to buy. My only complaint with this guitar is the frets need some file work (something that the other site I had thought of buying it one would never have shipped). Anyway a little work and this is just a good sounding fun guitar to play. I dig it. Good sound. Great looking. The onboard tuner/electronics are handy. It is very cool for the money.

Great Guitar, Great Price.
This is a beautiful guitar, and Amazon's price is the best deal you will find ANYWHERE. I was a bit concerned about the sound, as this is a thin body guitar, but this thing booms! Great fretwork, nearly perfect finish, the truss rod needed to be straightened, simple. Intonation is as near perfect as you could want. 2 months later this has become one of my favorite guitars.

Great Guitar and Beautiful
I received this guitar in perfect condition. The finish is flawless and the maple is beautiful. This thin body is a real comfort to play. Sound is very good, clear with lots of sustain. Setup was not great or I would have given it 5 stars. The action was too high. I tightened the truss rod a bit to make sure the neck was flat. I then loosened the strings and removed the bridge. I sanded it down about 4 mm to get the action at the 12th fret to 4 mm. Unfortunately, the high E string snapped when I retuned it. You can imagine my frustration having to run out to buy another string. That said, I don't think much of the Saverez strings. This guitar is sounding even better as it is being broken in. It's also very nice to have a tuner built in. The electronics are good quality and sound great. This is a very nice guitar. Update: 8/8/24. I replaced the bridge saddle which is plastic with a bone saddle purchased on Amazon. The sound is even better now. Plugged in, the high E and B string have better volume and sustain. The balance of sound is greatly improved.

Sweet guitar!
I was skeptical about buying a guitar from Amazon, but because this was supplied by a reputable guitar shop (Alamo Music) I went for it. It was double boxed and arrived perfectly. It was setup pretty well and played right out of the box. The guitar itself (C5-CET) seems to be a great value for the money. It has a fuller sound than I expected being a thinline and sounds beautiful plugged in. Highly recommend the guitar and Alamo Music as a seller

Neck warp uncorrectable, totally defective and way overpriced
The tension rod is pretty much useless. My guitar has pretty bad string rattle around the 5ft feet, tried to adjust (tighten) the rod and managed about 3/4 of a turn before it maxed out. Didn’t help. So basically was sold a 600.00 piece of junk. Finish was beautiful, fret action not bad, but the string rattle makes it unplayable.

Great guitar. poorly handled.
My low rating is for Amazon's handling and NOT the quality of Cordoba, which is fantastic! The fit and finish are non-parallel. Please read on to see my impressions of the guitar. To preface, I am not a first-time Cordoba owner, and my past experiences have been nothing less than stellar. Cordoba, in my humble opinion, is the finest maker of mass-produced nylon-stringed instruments available today - no matter the country of origin. One of their American-made guitars was rated in a magazine as one of the top ten guitars you would like to own. It is expensive but a fraction of the price of its competitors. My offshore built one arrived yesterday, and I was excited to get it, I love the small body and the presentation of the spalted maple. When I opened the box and pulled it out, disappointment extinguished my excitement. The fret edges were razor-sharp, the top is caving in where the fretboard meets the soundhole making it unplayable above the fifth fret because of the action. Within five minutes out of its cellulose wrapper, I started a return ticket. I've been a player, and a private teacher, for more than forty years, this isn’t my first rodeo, I've lost count of how many guitars have come and gone, and after checking the tracking history of this one, I knew exactly what happened. The instrument originated from an Amazon warehouse in a suburb of Phoenix, a city known for being conveniently located a quarter-mile from the sun, and humidity perpetually stuck in the single digits. Looking at the date code, it has likely been there for months. The wood has been robbed of its moisture, the telltale signs being the sharp frets and the top warping. Too bad Amazon doesn’t understand or have the facilities to care for fine instruments. It also explains the bad reviews from customers receiving broken or disfigured instruments. I feel sorry for the people who suffered the same disappointment I felt and feel bad for the guy who took a fret file to his new guitar. Right now, the guitar is in a case undergoing a humidification process. I will keep the return ticket just in case it can’t be returned to the pristine condition Cordoba intended. Please understand, Cordoba doesn’t make bad guitars, Amazon just warehouses them poorly and my rating will stand solely for Amazon's part in this. This is a beautiful, well-made instrument and from what I can tell from the brief introduction, has a snappy flamenco-like tone with ringing sympathetic notes and overtones that float in front of you. FYI - it is a thin body, the sound is well balanced but is a tad weak in the bass department, I knew that going in, and I'm not complaining. The Cordoba CE5- CET Limited gets five stars!

Can't put it down
I wanted an affordable nylon string guitar, made with lots of maple. My only complaint was needing to file some of the frets on the low and high e, but, it was a quick tune up. It's beautiful, it has beautiful tones. The high tension strings I put on make it bright, but, still warm. The electronics are superb. I raised the action, to accommodate my playing style, and it's still very easy to play. The thin body puts the neck close to you like you're playing an electric guitar. I would buy some of the more expensive cordobas, but, no need, because this one for $500ish just plays so damn good!
