Better than the original Eros!
Let's cut to the chase, this is simply a remixed version of Versace Eros. This isn't a bad thing. It feels like every single fragrance has come out with a clone of Eros. This clone however is unique because it removes the Vanilla and replaces it with Tobacco. This is important because it gives it a more "refined" sweetness that doesn't feel immature nor cloying. Very smooth to the nose, in fact.Los Angeles 1981 also goes heavy on plum in the opening and pepper plus notes of ginger.I dare say this is basically a more perfected version of ErosThe spray nozzle is very good and allows for quick, full body sprays. Unfortunately, you will need them because the reason this is a budget fragrance is that it's juice potency is low. What I mean is it's close to being an EDC on terms of potency instead of a more potent EDT. Therefore, instead of getting away with two sprays of Eros, you'll likely need 4-6 sprays of Los Angeles 1981.You can expect 6-10 hours with this fragrance as long as your clothes don't get too humid. Projection is about half of arm length, but sillage is surprisingly good. Trust, people will smell you long after tou leave a room (for better or worse.)Because this is an improvement on Eros, I would say only buy it if you're tired/ran out of Eros. If you have another clone of Eros (like Diesel's Sound of the Brave) you can skip this one. If you want to give Eros to a boyfriend or nephew but don't want to spend the money, this is a cheaper and smell-improved solution.

Guess 1981 L.A. is a winner!
Nice and fresh, with a masculine musk that makes it more of a manly choice, over similar scents. Nice bottle size assures there will be plenty to last for quite a while. I enjoy Versace Eros, but it leans to near a feminine scent, whereas the Guess 1981 Los Angeles has that same sweetness, but has more of a manly vibe. I enjoy the look of the bottle and the weight is nice and hefty, but just fits well in the hand for spraying. Atomizer is nice and the wooden cap is a nice touch. Honestly, I wore this the past couple of days and it worked well in the heat, without becoming sour or pungent smelling. I can't wait to wear it again, once the weather cools down, as I do think it is a cold weather scent. This is such a wonderful fragrance at such an incredible price. I highly recommend it to those who enjoy a sweeter scent, but not making you smell like a woman. BUY IT!

Unbelievable price point.
Pretty impressed with the cologne. It lasts a long time and it changes as the day progresses and the only way to really explain it is to get some and try it. I was impressed with the quality, but the scent might not be for everybody. It has kind of a vanilla finish, but it’s not girly. It’s definitely got a masculine sent to it. That’s for sure. It’s just not overpowering. It’s pretty balanced sent. I would recommend it for most men, casual daytime or evening depending upon your preferences.
