I purchase this book after I cam across the author's site with tips about verifying the authenticity of State Police badges, but found that the site only provided supplemental information and limited resources. As an avid collector, I needed more than just what was provided on the website. I finally bought the book and found extremely helpful information, as well as pictures, to assist in my scrutiny of each item before I purchased it. Without this book, I would have invested in worthless pieces that I mistook as authentic issue. With this book, I now know what to look for when it comes to having a worthwhile collection. The author also provides updates to the book on the website so you're always in the loop. Definitely a worthwhile investment for the serious collector.

Lots of details which would be most difficult to find on your own. Several types of re-production badges are pictured to be on the look out for. Many different historical examples are photographed for the collector to enjoy. Police badges are a big business now and many sellers are either unaware or don't care about verifying if their product is real. So this book will save a lot of frustration and money.

Very detailed and through book with many photos of past and current uniforms, badges, patches and vehicles of every state police agency in the United States with very nice historys of each organization.

Great book by a recognized expert in the badge collecting hobby. Really nicely done!
