Saving Each Other: A Mother-Daughter Love Story Paperback – October 16, 2012

Very inspiring book. The mother sure did a lot for her daughter. I was very happy that Ali was somewhat cured at the end without really knowing why, while hundreds of thousands of people around the world are still suffering without having an answer for their attacks. It's a good thing that those patients still have the Foundation to be there for them and to support them.

This is the story of what one devoted mother (with access to BIG funds) could do to help her child. It is a pattern the medical profession should duplicate and our government too! God bless this mother and daughter.

First if all after reading this book it has educated me on an illness i had never heard of.Victoria has gone above and beyond to find a cure for Ali.What a huge task.I found the book to be a bit repetitive, and more than half was focused on Victoria's life and struggles .I did skip some of the book , it was quite a hard book at times.But i am glad to have learnt about nmo , i wish them a bright future.

This book was literally what we needed. After dealing with a very recent diagnosis of NMO, our lives have been turned upside down. The fear of not knowing and being given this scary, cold diagnosis was too much to handle. After immediately searching for support and information online, we quickly came across this book and purchased it. I just finished the book last night. This book is heartwarming, and I can relate to the familial bond exemplified in this book. This book is a treasure for us, and has helped us navigate this disease during the past couple of weeks. Both Ali and Victoria shared their experiences candidly which helps us going through the initial stages of living with this new reality.

Interesting perspective without much self pity of a family going through a medical crisis. A "reality" story that offers hope and lessons on how to deal with a major illness.

Very confusing, back and forth between characters and no real plot or story. Bounces around has no direction or relationship to other parts of book.

As a radio show host, I read and discuss a book with its author every week...sometimes this is a hard task.. BUT THIS BOOK ROCKS ... the interview is probably archived ( I 'd tell you where, but this isn't about me but about the book). It is a compelling fast read...and wonderful to boot. Great story & its' true! A great read & It has a happy ending. Highly recommend it for for all mothers & daughters. Mothers truly can do anything.
