Very helpful
Grades finalized- the book got me an A. I struggled mostly with priorities and some of the more complicated aspects of categorizing certain property under the code. I read this book front to back as prep for my final and it cleared up any remaining confusion from the course. Would recommend 10/10.

Clear rules and questions for secured transactions law
Like the Glannon Guide to Commercial Paper, this one for secured transactions is a fantastic starting point for the subject. It lays out all the rules for attachment, perfection, priority, et cetera, very clearly. As secured transactions is traditionally very cut-and-dry (as opposed to a more interpretive subject such as family law), this book is perfect. It is not a substitute for an entire secured transactions class, but it also is not intended to be. It is a great tool for when the class is starting or for earlier review.

Good explanation of difficult concepts
While it's true that this book doesn't go into the nitty-gritty details of Article 9, I've found it to be invaluable in helping me understand concepts that are confusing when my professor explains them. I didn't like secured transactions until I picked up this book; now that I understand a lot more, I legitimately enjoy this subject.I've heartily recommended this supplement to my friends in the class.EDIT: I wouldn't recommend trying to read this book piecemeal according to what your prof is covering at the time. If you do that, you're bound to be dissatisfied by the comparative lack of detail in this book. I recommend reading it cover-to-cover--as you see how the different chapters complement each other, it'll give you a good big-picture understanding and confidence that you've got a grasp on the subject matter.

Excellent study aid!
The fact that I never review products, but was willing to make an exception for this book, is a measure of how good it is.I am an excellent student (top 10%), but this class and the accompanying textbook (Warren and Lopecki) were both boring and unnecessarily complicated. I paid very little attention and eventually stopped reading the textbook altogether. Two weeks before the final I picked this study aid up, and after reading through it twice (Secured Transactions isn't the easiest subject), I understood the subject thoroughly and could actually understand what the textbook was about (though I still think it is a poor textbook). I ended up getting the top grade in the class.Long story short - this book is a superb investment, saving you a ton of time to understand an unnecessarily dense subject.

Awesome review of UCC 9
This is a great reference tool to refresh (or learn) oneself on the ins-and-outs of UCC 9. I am an attorney and needed to refresh myself and found this book was an excellent resource and tool to get up to speed .... in lieu of reading the Code (something we all should do!)I really liked the use of Q & A's in each of the chapters. These Q & A's enable one to test one's understanding of the concepts. The end of the book Q & A is comprehensive too and serves the same purpose.Again, this is a superb reference tool to use in practice too. I highly recommended the book.

Useful and concise - Great study aid
Very useful study aid for secured transactions. I had a difficult time staying engaged with the dry and boring textbook in class (Warren & Lopucki), and this Glannon Guide was my bible the week before the exam. Great multiple choice questions that emphasize the quirks of the law. I would highly recommend for others if you need a quick guide to study at the end of the year. I used this in addition to the Law in a Flash cards, which were also very helpful with hypos.

Finally understand Secured Transactions
As a graduating 3L at a top tier law school, I thought secured transactions was a topic that couldn't be understood by the normal person. After purchasing this book and reading it for only 30 minutes, I understands facets of secured transactions law that I didn't pick up after reading a case book and attending lectures all semester. This book has been fantastic and is an anchor for my final preparations.I did purchase the Kindle version and I found it very workable. Would highly recommend the Kindle version to save paper and money.

Got me an A- in Secured Transactions
Currently attending law school. I rarely went to my secured transactions class and needed something for damage control come exam time. I read this book in its entirety from cover to cover and was able to learn quite a lot about Article 9 of the UCC and bankruptcy. (However, the book is strictly ST, so there is nothing on Article 2/3 of the UCC. I had to find that from other sources). All in all, it's the reason I succeeded in the class. It's a great overview with clear examples of the UCC. Get it.
