Only 3/5 stars, once I finally got it properly installed, it feels very solid. the installation instructions are very poor. Not sure why they even bothered putting installation instructions in. The company needs to either make an installation video (they have made plenty of videos showing it off). I mean paying almost 600 dollars, put some simple diagrams in your instructions, or pictures of the names and pieces of all the parts. The shipping method was interesting with a lot of loose foamy stuff in the box, one of the hardware packages was open so I had to dig around to find all the bolts. they recommend using 4 lugs on the wheel for SUV and larger vehicles, they provided me 4 lugs and only 3 bolts to bolt them on. Either the 4th bolt was sealed within the foam packaging somewhere or they didn't bother. They could do a lot as a company by investing some time on making a decent installation. Still giving it 3 stars though as it does appear the craftsmanship and powder coating are 5/5.

Though this listing doesn’t make a disclaimer about the subtraction of 230lbs. from your hitch weight, the instruction manual that comes with it does. So in the event this arrives and that subtraction renders this unit useless for your towing needs you may have to pay return shipping and a restocking fee. I personally have to give this item a 1 Star because it doesn’t seem to fair to me that had the information of been easily available an informed buyer wouldn’t get stuck with a very expensive return and restocking fee. Other than that it seems well built and would work for a tire but a tire and towing with a Tacoma off road edition won’t work for a travel trailer if he hitch weight isn’t less than 420lbs.

This is a quality built product. Very sturdy, doesn’t rattle. Takes about 5 minutes to install. I did need to get the license plate relocation bracket.

I put this on my Sprinter Van that I have converted into a camper. Very surprised at how study this thing is. Carries my tire and lets me still open my rear doors. Wish it wasn't so expensive, but definitely happy with the purchase. Can't imagine vanlife without it.
