Wasn't sure if these would work well or not, but they do. Strong force and fit perfect on my 2008 Tundra. The hood rises without me having to do anything but lift the latch. Pulling the hood down to close it is a little effort but it works great.

Limb saver
Great inexpensive limb saving product. The whole uninstall install process took less than 5 minutes. Watch a YouTube video and use something to safely prop up the hood.

works great, only need a small flathead to pry the old retaining clips off.
works great and easy to install on a 2010 tundra. Prop the hood open use a small flathead to pry off the metal retaining clip on both ends of the old strut. Pop them off Screw the plastic end onto the new one Pop the new one on with the fat side of the strut on top.
