New 3DS XL Case - Ultra Clear Crystal Transparent Hard Shell Protective Case Cover Skin for New 2015 Nintendo 3DS XL LL - [New Modified Hinge-Less Design]

This is a case for the NEW 3DS XL. It will NOT fit other versions as they are different sizes, and have a different layout for the ports (charging, game carriage, stylus, headphone). For those saying "it doesn't fit," I looked into which 3DS they had (one review mentions the 2DS, other mentions the 3DS XL) It ONLY fits the NEW 3DS XL, just like the kind I have and can be seen in my photos. If there is an additional thumbstick in the upper right corner than that is a good indication that is is the NEW 3DS. It will NOT fit the 3DS XL either, as there are slight differences in the systems with regards to where the ports for everything are.I got the crystal clear as I wanted the SNES look of my 3DS to show. installation is not difficult, though understand you may need to apply a bit more pressure than you think at first, for fear of the case cracking. It didn't crack on me, and can also be removed if needed (I had to access the micro SD card after putting the case on, and I was able to detach and reset it without any issues).It does not interfere with the hinges, nor the any of the buttons. The hinge less design, in my opinion, is ideal as it is one less thing that can break. It also keeps the case slim, and will still fit in a carrying case without the need to get a new one as it doesn't make the system too bulky at all.The only down side is not due to the case, but due to the design of the New 3DS XL. The only access to the micro SD card is by taking out the two screws on the back and opening it up. The case here covers the back, and would have to be removed in order to access the micro SD. However, if you do not frequently need to access the card, then this is a non issue.Overall, this is a GREAT case if you want to protect against scratches and small drops, and still want your DS theme image to show (like the SNES one). If you are looking to get one, just make sure that you have the correct model 3DS XL.I plan on ordering a second one for my son's 3DS so his Pikachu case image shows, and can have some protection against it becoming scratched or damaged.

The top and bottom shells of the new 3ds xl are very scratch and peel prone. This case helps to protect it from the elements while still giving you a clear view of the outside of your system! My new 3ds xl has zero scratches on it (which I was super surprised with when I got it recently) so I wanted a minimalistic and great value case that I could get to keep that pristine look, and this is the case that I went with. It's made of a clear hard plastic, you have to apply some pressure to get it to snap on the system, but once it's on it's not going anywhere. Very happy with my purchase!

It will protect your New 3DS XL from small falls and scratches (mine is already a little banged up, but better late than never), and it snaps on with these little hinges around the edges so it's not going to slip off.I decided to opt for a clear case to replace my old sanrio one so I can place whatever stickers underneath it and show off the color of my New 3DS XL. I'm glad I got this one, it's really nice and shiny and fits perfectly. It doesn't get in the way of my buttons or anything and doesn't have sharp corners like my old one. It seems pretty thick too but it's not so thick that you'll have a hard time removing it or putting it on.

Sadly mine came with a bit of scuff in the corner and at the edge of the top part from where I assume they cut it. But all in all, I’m very satisfied with the quality and the clarity of the case. Now I can cover my 3DS in Dorito dust and not have to worry about it.My only warnings would be to be careful as it’s a snug fit and to make sure you’re in a dust free environment when you put the case on. It’s like a screen protector in the sense that dust and debris will stick to it when you first unwrap it.Pros;- Very sturdy quality, it will certainly protect your 3DS from a tumble.- Allows for customizing your 3DS even further, stickers, paint, you name it all without degrading your actual 3DS in any way.- It’s very very clear, I was expecting some opaqueness but they are just as clear as the previews.- It feels like they aren’t even there sometimes, they hardly ever get in the way of gaming or everyday use.- Very simple to take on and take off, just be careful.Cons;- It is very prone to scratches. I simply wiped it with a cloth and suddenly there were lots of micro scratches. Not a big deal unless you’re looking at it under intense light.- The fit is so snug I’m almost scared to take it off, I’m worried I might damage the sides of my system.- The new “hingeless design” is very nice but it leaves the back very exposed. I suppose it isn’t a huge problem but for me I’d like the entire DS to be protected as much as possible.- Mine came in a bit scuffed.

I wanted to revamp my 3DS and protect it a bit better. This is the perfect, clear, clip on case. I've had it for months and it hasn't yellowed at all which is great. Works very well and kind of clips/snaps onto your 3DS firmly without threatening to come off. Very easy to put on and take off. Absolutely worth the buy.

Very good when it comes to protecting your 3DS. Personally I don't care too much about cosmetic wear but just know that this does scratch and collect dust easily, at least from my experience. Also makes it more comfortable to hold which is a plus. Overall a good buy
