This is a strong boar bristle brush! I absolutely love it. I’ve used a boar bristle brush since childhood. My grandmother started brushing my body as a toddler. I’ve never stopped. So many benefits, removes lymph, increases circulation, retains muscle tone, sloughs off dry skin & soothes & relaxes nerve endings. Creating calm & relaxation. I also use on my grandchildren (they love it) I would highly recommend the Kent FD 10 beechwood brush, especially because you only have one side & the brush head doesn’t slip off like the two sided ones. This is professional quality!!

This brush is beautifully made but the bristles are so stiff that its not usable as a bath brush. I'm rather disappointed as the reviews on it were so good.

This isa nice brush. When I read the complaints about the bristles being too stiff I figured it should be just right for me. The bristles are almost stiff enuff for me. The woodwork is exceptional and these are high quality brushes but too expensive.

I've looked high and low for a good back scrubber that worked while showering. Most I have found are so soft, that they don't do the job. I found one that worked OK, but the wood cracked and the bristles fell out and clogged up my drain. When I saw this one and read the review that said it was so stiff they couldn't use it, I knew it was for me. I love it. The high price tag made me stop and ponder, but if it stands up to water and daily use, it will well be worth it for me.

I have upgraded the original review after one year. I have three Kent brushes and all are well made. However, the wood on bath brush discolored in about a month. Mostly due to frequent repeated use, but we do hang it up in the shower and allow it to dry between uses. My recommendation is to be extra careful about allowing the bristles to dry completely (pound out the brush against a towel and allow to dry completely. If stored in a moist area - like a shower, it is unlikely to dry completely and the wood will begin to discolor rapidly.

I have gotten this brush then needed a new one and could not find this brand so I tried a different brand not at all the same quality. The other brush I tried had shorter bristles and was 2 pieces.This brush has nice long bristles and one piece so solid. Works Terrific.

Not irritatingly harsh, but still a good exfoliating scrub when applied with vigor, which it stands up to quite well. Extremely well made. No sign of mold after several months of hanging in shower from hole in handle.Wife and I have tried several loofahs, puffballs, and spongy thingies with varied degrees of dissatisfaction, possibly more loudly expressed on my part. This particular quality item, however, hits the spot just right for both our tastes.
