Family of (5) African Cichlids 2" Live Tropical Fish Assorted Alonocara Peacock Cichlid Fish

My husband told me I was crazy to order live aquarium fish online, but the reviews were good enough I decided to chance it - I am so glad I did. They all look healthy, have beautiful colors and were very active right from the start. I have a 60 gallon tank so they were a bit difficult to get good pics. They were moving too fast, lol. The delivery was a little wonky. They were to be delivered on the 5th. I received an email notifying me they would be delayed until the 11th. I received them on the 6th. I was really glad I happened to be home at the time! I'm not taking off any stars for the delivery because the fish are so nice.Update Jan 15, 2025: One fish died within a week of receiving them, and one other died about 2 months ago, so, about 16 months old (might have been female, not much color). HOWEVER, of the three remaining, "Big Blue" is very big (probably 6"), "Yellow Boy" is about 4 1/2", the last fish I'm fairly sure is female is about 4" (yes, she looks rather bad)- but WE NOW HAVE BABIES! I can see 2 and maybe 3. I have been watching them grow for the past week. Not sure how they have survived but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

The media could not be loaded. My first batch of fish I ordered wasn't all that good the fish seemed shook up or sick 3 of them died in the first day just wasn't acting right and the little orange guy was starting to get a fungus infection so I put him in a tank with some medicine and he didn't make it only the little pink ob and blue guy survived the first batch and still doing well over a month later but they gave me a refund for the 3 fish that died which either came sick or the box got shook up befor delivery I don't know but what I do know Is I gave them a second shot and the 2nd batch I ordered a few weeks later came beautiful all were healthy and already had beautiful color on them I'm truely impressed for buying fish on Amazon this company gets 5 stars for sure I love my new fish

I recently purchased the “Family of (5) African Cichlids 2” Live Tropical Fish Assorted Alonocara Peacock Cichlid Fish" and I am extremely disappointed. The listing shows photos of beautiful, healthy, vibrant, and colorful cichlids, but what I received was far from that.False Advertising: The fish in the photos are stunning, but the ones I received were tiny, colorless, and no bigger than a guppy. This is blatant false advertising.Dead on Arrival: All five fish arrived dead. They were floating in nasty water, which was a heartbreaking sight. I understand that shipping live fish can be challenging, but this was unacceptable.Unresponsive Seller: I tried reaching out to the seller multiple times to resolve this issue, but they have not responded to any of my messages. This lack of customer service is incredibly frustrating.Poor Quality: Even if the fish had arrived alive, they were of such poor quality that I wouldn’t have paid more than $5 each at a local pet store. They were tiny and lacked the vibrant colors promised in the listing.Overall, this purchase was a complete waste of money. I strongly advise against buying from this seller. Save yourself the disappointment and look elsewhere for your cichlids.I hope this helps you convey your experience effectively. These are gorgeous fish! I was surprised with the speed of shipping. They were all in the same bag, but none were harmed. I tested parameters and they were near perfect. They love their new home. Will def buy from seller again. These do ship from California it seems so please keep that in mind when ordering your fish.Added::I made a decent second order with them. They are really awesome people to work with. The reviews talking about ich/ick are old and with the 3 batches i got NO ICH!!! These guys have great customer service. 1 out of 25 died during transport. (Cant blame these guys. Its the handlers at that point.) The fish are getting adjusted to the new home but seem to love it. I check parameters everytime when I come home to make sure its close and then I can decide to do quick or slow acclimations. Trust me on that. Ive been doing this for years. No fish has died from it.I digress, The reviews I saw were a year old... These guys are doing great in their new home.

I've not ordered fish online before. After this I won't ever again. When the fish arrived and I opened the package it smelled terrible. There was a dead fish in it which made me concerned enough not want to put any of them in my tank to risk the lives of my other fish. The fish were small like most of the other reviews stated. The colors weren't as vibrant as the photo but they were beautiful fish. I'm just nervous to put them with my other fish. Most local pet stores are limited on selection so I was hoping for something new and exciting but instead as I said I went from excitement to disappointment.

Fish came all alive size wise some very small some right size as describe health wise is a gamble some of the fish missing fins one tail damage probably thru shipping hopefully they make it seem swimming alright appearance wise only time will tell if they make it over all great for online live fish.

A nice variety of fish, but a couple of them were less than the advertised 2". This normally wouldn't be a big deal to me, but my other African Chiclids are between 2.5 to 3", so I wanted these to be able to defend themselves. So far, they're doing well so I can't complain. All arrived alive and well. I would order again from this vendor! Would have rated it 5 stars if not for the 2 small fish that were less than 2".
