I bought this last year. Not used this year. It was OK but had to scrape out some of the bulb holders to make bulbs fit. Still has original batteries. I guess it depends how long you have it on. To be honest I was disappointed with the quality of this product. Compared to some similar products on the market this looks cheap and nasty. Is it worth the hassle of setting it up? No.

How tall are the houses?

From the base to the roof top 7cm or 3inches. Some of them with e.g. a spire are upto 9cm or 4 inches. They are lovely.
