Why is Mt. Capra's Colostrum considered a supplement and not food?

Mt. Capra’s Goat Colostrum: 20+ years of immunity, recovery, and gut support. We’ve recategorized our goat colostrum from “food” to “dietary supplement,” allowing us to eventually label immunoglobulin (IgG) levels. Studies are underway—stay tuned!

Why choose Mt. Capra Colostrum

1,000 mg per serving, gently dried using Refractance Window technology to preserve delicate bioactives, and blended with cold-processed goat whey to support gut health and muscle repair.

What about the baby goats? Aren't you taking the colostrum they need?

We care deeply for the goats at our farm. Baby goats receive full access to their mother’s colostrum to support their early development. Mt. Capra only harvests the surplus colostrum.

Can I mix the colostrum into a hot drink or food?

No, we don't recommend this. At hotter temperatures the immunoglobulins start to denature and won't make the colostrum as effective.

Does this colostrum need to be refrigerated?

No. Our Goat Milk Colostrum is shelf-stable and does not need to be refrigerated. Just keep the lid tightly on between uses and store in a dry place. It will remain good even after opening through the best by date on the bottom of the bottle.
