Master Lock 719D Steel Cable with Integrated Outdoor Padlock with Key, 1 Pack

Had the idea to use one of my pistol locks to secure my new LS2 full face helmet with quick release buckle to my Road Glide sissy bar, but they are too short at 14 inches long. I looked at a lot of different locks that would serve my purpose, including a lot of those tightly wound curly-cue cable locks with the inline lock tumbler. Those just look so dainty to me, and I wanted something more robust to better deter a would-be thief that did not happen to have a bolt cutter on him. This Master Lock cable lock is just the ticket. Operates just like a gun lock, but with a perfect length and a more robust cable that I doubt could be defeated with a common side-cutters. I realize that these locks only keep honest people honest, and a thief with the right equipment could easily defeat it. The wire cable is protected with a clear, thick plastic sleeve, and the bottom of the small lock is protected with a wraparound plastic piece. The bulk of the lock itself though would be better if it was covered with the same clear plastic as on the cable. Reason being is that if it happens to bump your painted surfaces there is less of a chance it would scratch or damage them. Anyway, this lock is easy to stash and easy to apply providing a bit of peace-of-mind while at a rally, bike night, or cafe. Highly recommended.

Nothing to complain about. It's 100% as advertised and a great choice to lock up motorcycle gear to the bike when leaving.

Bought this to secure our new RV surge protector. It is the same lock sold by the manufacturer of the surge protector at like nearly half the cost. It's a bit thin and will not stop a determined thief, but it will cause them to have to make a commotion or whole bunch of racket to try and make away with it, which is exactly what you want it for. There's no current, conceivable way to make an iron clad lock down solution for this sort of thing (yet), and sure there are strong, thicker cable locks out there, with no other real benefit other than maybe doubling the time it takes someone to hack through it. The lock itself is pretty light weight and small as well, and in fact I would have liked to see that part a bit beefier, but this could be an economics of the product sort of thing. In other words, you get what you pay for, and they do make on with both a meatier cable and lock that is very similar. My only concern with that one is the cable being too thick to get through the lock loop or the door hinge on most RV power pedestals. So I stuck with this one for now. Time will tell how the whole things holds up to the elements, I might update this at some point in the future as it gets some weathering and age on it. -1 Star for the lock itself being pretty light weight for a Master Lock product

Actually waterproof. No rust no nothing. Using for multiple month and incredibly satisfied

Using this do dissuade anyone from taking my patio TV off the mount. Won't prevent someone cutting it, but figure it will slow them down, especially if they thought it was a quick grab, and brought no tools.

I'm using this for my snowboard. It is long enough to attach to ski stand through binding for skis or snowboard. It fits through bindings for either. It is light enough to carry in pocket although it is not retractable and must be kinded of folded into pocket. I don't mind this bc I hated having my board stolen last year. If someone had bolt cutter, it would cut easily but bolt cutters would he noticeable at ski lodge and almost everyone else's boards are unlocked. This is an effective deterrent for a thief of opportunity.

Used for kids scooter, fit through the wheels.
