I’m VERY happy. Best cane I’ve ever used.
Like many others, I have tried the three legged cane with a seat and found it lacking. This one, however, I love.I find the sling seat more comfortable than the 3 legged plastic one. I’ve sat both straddling like it says to but also sideways. On level or mostly level ground both work fine. (I’m female, 5’5”, 150 pounds if that helps.) If you are on an incline you will want to straddle this. I waited in line over an hour to get vaccinated and it was a very steep hill. I sat straddled on this and it worked like a champ. Pushing down on the front handle when seated was very study and helped me get up. Getting up as the line inched along and sitting back down was a breeze. I will admit after more than an hour I was glad to sit in a regular chair, but I never felt like I wanted to get up from this because it was so uncomfortable. For me this is the best purchase I’ve made for my health. It opens up so many doors to things I can do now. When it’s folded up I like using it over my “regular” cane. Folded for walking it works like a two legged cane. It seems to provide more support to me with the extra legs and just flows better with my stride. I find I don’t feel the need to lean on it when I’m walking like I do my other cane, so I can walk straighter, which leads to less pain. And when I’m standing briefly enough that I don’t need to sit it definitely provides more support for me to lean on over a regular cane. In those instances I usually stand with it folded in front of me and lean on it some for support. But be prepared, people will ask about it because it’s so great. My physical therapist had never seen one like this and now she recommends it to lots of people.

REAL MEASUREMENTS AND OBJECTIVE REVIEW:
The useable seat is 5.5 x 14. This is different from description, the 'from the manufacturer' measurements, and an answer I got! Manufacturer got the seat to floor right - 22 inches.I am 5.4 and weight 132 and it works as a 'straddle' seat and a seat with the foam grips on both sides. It is true- as another reviewer said -my hips are slightly squeezed when seated this way, so if you are much bigger you must do the straddle way. Quite comfortable for a rest or to get a rock out of your shoe.I think the difference between the 1 star and 5 star reviews is the expectation. For a very disabled, heavy, unstable, or very elderly this is not going to be a good product. The video shows a somewhat unstable women using it as a cane and I think you can see - it doesn't look very stable. If you REALLY depend on putting a LOT of weight on a cane, I would get the 4 legged one as that is the safest most stable to really lean on. Also, if you are extremely heavy I can see how it may not work - so the 250 pound limit is more like 150.As far as straddling it in a dress. You don't have to lift a leg over like mounting a horse, just drop the lower foam grip between your knees and right the legs on the ground and sit. Would not work in a mini skirt, but if you're buying this, you probably are wearing a longer dress! For a person who can walk and would like a seat to rest every once in awhile and would benefit from some walking support this is easy to use, light to carry and -stable. With this as the expectation my overall rating is 5 noting it has all three attributes. Light, sturdy, and stable at a low price point.

STURDY AND IT WORKS.
I get lots of compliments on my cane/chair. It is different. I am 205 pounds, and it holds me. I have back and left foot ortho problems and I can't stand as long as I used to. Very handy. The only negative is that it is not height adjustable because of the way its made. I slowly sit down to avoid any accidents. Sitting is fine.

I love this cane. Sturdy, lightweight, versatile, with built-in seat.
A clever design, and very sturdy. I badly injured my leg and ankle and need a cane to get around while I recover. I would never have thought to consider this odd-looking design except my disabled sister will not go anywhere without hers. It's not height-adjustable, so I don't think it would work well for anyone who's very short or somewhat tall, but it's perfect for my 5'4" height. And the seat is a godsend, especially if you're newly injured or easily tired. Just unlatch the velcro and joila! You have a seat. Be forewarned, though: it's a bit narrow for people who are heavy. And you do need to be careful when sitting down. The instructions say to straddle it, but I find that'a impractical --- i couldn't possibly swing my leg over thr seat --- so I simply take special care to hold both handles when I sit, to prevent it from tipping. One last feature: I notice that the cross bars (the bars to which the mesh seat is attached) are also the perfect height for pushing off from a sitting position. That's ideal. I'd buy this again in a heartbeat. (The price here on Amazon is less than half what my sister paid at a local medical supply house.)

BEWARE - BE AWARE OF POTENIAL FOR COLLAPSE AND INJURY- Amazon please do not sell!!
I used this for the first time and had a bad fall yesterday. I'm now still in pain plus am very bruised. I used up all my Arnica on bruises and took strong pain med and almost went to the hospital for initial pain was quite severe. The idea of this product seems great BUT performance due to IMO instability .... shoddiness/wobble of legs for providing EVEN support appears to be quite lacking.I am surprised Amazon carries this product. Though there are good reviews, others have indicated problems and falls. I should have paid attention! All it might take is one very serious fall to cause a limb break or worse ...is that worth the risk?I so wish it were sturdier and better balanced/supportive but that was opposite of my experience. Please think carefully before buying. I ask Amazon to remove this from their items offered for saleNow I have to go thru return process...just to add extra work ...when all I'd like to do is throw it in the trash,,best place for it IMOUpdate...another day of pain from fall ..not as bad but keeos me to bed and bruising is ugly!

Great little support
I’m very happy with this purchase. I have a very bad back but I needed to get on a walking routine. The path I walk on has no place to sit down. This “cane/seat” is very light weight and not had to Cary in one hand while walking if one doesn’t need it to use as a cane. (I do use it like that in steep inclines). It’s perfect to open up and sit for a spell to recoup. I feel it’s very sturdy. I’m 76 years old and weigh 160. It works great does my needs. It would be great to take on walking tours and such!

Handy, lightweight and supportive
Without a doubt, worth the money! Purchased for my 89 year old mother-in-law for use while she visited us for an extended stay. The goal was to provide a way for her to attend and enjoy outings with us. It has worked well to give her walking support and a handy seat for resting. Her arthritis prevents total mobility so an available seat is a necessity. This enabled her to walk and even shop with confidence. She's used it several years now and has shared purchasing information with countless prospective buyers! There is hardly ever an occasion when someone doesn't ask her where they can buy one. Only ONE word of caution....practice sitting on the sling to get comfortable with the safest way to sit.

Very useful!
This got used by both my elderly father (RIP! - he ended up passing away), and now by my 86 year old mom.Extremely useful for people who get tired from walking and need to sit down to get a bit of a rest!It is very light, and easy to open and close. BTW: My mom sits on it as a bench, not in straddling position. I know it's not recommended, but for people who can keep their balance, or have some companion with them to assist them in case of feeling dizzy and worrying about balance, I think sitting on it sideways is fine and quite comfortable. The only thing I'd like different would be a height adjustment. My father was tall, so using this as a walking cane was a bit uncomfortable due to being a bit too short for him. It was still ok as a resting chair though!!!
