They are great as long as you follow the steps.
These require 2 months of cold storage before planting. Put these in a wet paper towel in a ziplock bag in your fridge two months before the day you want to plant them. Trust me, I have cut corners in the past with apple seeds and I get 0 percent germination rates. With these, I got high germination rates after the two months of cold storage. Previously I tried no cold storage or just 1 month of it, and I failed every time. After I planted these, I started getting apple trees up after only a week. It has been 3 weeks now and I am still getting trees up daily, so don’t give up on the seeds that don’t sprout right away. Apples can sometimes take over a month to germinate so stay patient and keep watering them. I will say, I bought these to put around the hunting land so I don’t care too much. But red delicious apple trees are not capable of self pollination so these will likely not grow up to be red delicious apple trees, unless if the seller has a trick that I am unaware of. Red delicious apple trees require another species for pollination though so I assume they were pollinated by another variety. Either way though, in most cases apple seeds won’t grow the same apple tree as the parents. This is why greenhouses exclusively graft apple branches onto roots of other trees. In most cases if you plant an apple seed you will get a crabapple or a sower baking apple rather than a sweet apple for fresh. Like I said, I just planted these so if I think about it once these produce fruit in 10 years I will update my review and let you all know what I got. No mater what they will be edible and great for wildlife, but I am not assuming I got sweet apples to grow until I try them. I will buy these again next year regardless though. I enjoy growing them, I was impressed by their germination rates, and no matter what I got cheap apple or crabapple trees that will at a minimum be great for baking and the wildlife. Please note: any apple seed is like this, and it is not just this particular seller. I will buy from this seller again because these seeds actually grew.

Most of the apple seeds sunk
When I opened the seed packet I was suprised when I saw the amount of seeds there were (there were a lot). When I performed the water test on the seeds most of the seeds sunk, demonstrating their viability for growing. NOTE: The Red Delicious apple variety is NOT self pollinating so pair it with a pollinator apple like Honeycrisp or Cortland apples.
