Can a purge valve be added?.. it was very foggy for me too. I was constantly having to let water into the mask at depth to clear the fog.

No you can not add a purge valve to this mask. Any mask will fog up if it is not pre-treated properly before diving. If you prepare your mask properly it will not fog. There is a rubber mold release that contaminates the glass during the manufacturing process. This needs to be removed. The Atomic approved method is to use Crest toothpaste. The soft abrasives in the toothpaste will remove the film layer. Place a few dots of toothpaste on the inside and outside glass. Rub in a circular fashion all over the glass, be sure to get all the way into the corners. Do this 3 or 4 times. Rinse well between applications. Before diving be sure to use a good mask defogger. Most of the commercially available de-foggers will work well. Be sure to follow the instructions on the defogger as some you just rub on and rinse, others you rub on like a wax and buff off. Our favorite is 500 psi or Sea Gold Gel.

Is this mask available with the ARC coating?

Hi Jake, Yes, it is. Search for Atomic Venom ARC Mask. The Amazon ASIN is:B00NFW9SV2 I hope this is helpful. Wendy, Customer Service

How is it different from the Venom Dive version besides some cosmetic changes? Which one is better and why?

Sorry I can't answer your question, I don't know the different between them. Which I have the (Atomic Aquatics Venom Frameless), it's very clear mask but it leaks water often and it fog all the time.
