LEGO Technic App-Controlled Top Gear Rally Car 42109 Racing Toy Building Kit (463 Pieces)

My husband has given our kids Lego practically every year since they were graduated out of Duplo, and now has started on the grandkids, while still giving the grown kids Legos. Finally the light bulb went on and I figured out he was the real Lego fan, and gave him this for Christmas. After gifts were over he refused to play games or go outside to throw the football around, instead, he built his car, got the app and took the car for a spin down the hall. That is until the resident Great Dane decided it was an enemy and pounced.Cue pandemonium.So I’m happy to report this Lego kit is very sturdy and is slobber proof.It’s really a cool car, and works well.

Very easy and well thought out LEGO kit . One of the most fun and gratifying kits I’ve built. The price is well worth every penny- very solid construction and the instructions are very easy to follow.

9 year old loved putting it together. Car is a little slow but not bad.

I gifted this to my boyfriend for Valentine's Day because he's really into Legos (and I'm starting to as well!) and it took us maybe an hour and a half to assemble it. It takes six triple A batteries so make sure you have that bought prior to assembling because you'll want to connect the car to your phone and start driving right away! It comes with stickers to stick on the car as well so make sure you have someone with you that'll actually put them on right :)

As usual, works great! This is not a racecar so do not expect the thing to go 20mph, or that it will be super responsive. It functions enough to have some fun driving it around, and see your hard work move, but the controls are a bit laggy and it takes a bit of time to really get the controls down.However I love it! Great price and really cool car to add to my collection. I probably will not drive it much, but it looks good enough on my shelf :)

Bought 2 of these. One for my nephew and one for my mom. It's very interesting to see my mom spend the whole afternoon building lego. And after that I downloaded the app on her phone and pair with the car. Works very nicely and my mom had a blast playing it. Definitely a bit pricey but the quality is pretty good. The built card is quite steady and firm. Quite a decent amount of detail.

Made a great gift. Motor a little weak on carpet though.
