I have bought these solar curtains whenever they wear out for my West facing living room picture window. They really keep the room noticeably cooler in the hot Texas afternoon sun. Plus they are shear enough that I can enjoy watching the birds in my bird bath and at the bird feeder. Highly recommend.

I needed a way to reduce the summer heat generated through my second floor South and West facing windows. The "curtain" is a panel of mylar and it works. I have mine on a spring tension rod and raise it to cover the whole window when the sun is coming in, and lower it to let light in. I won't use these in the heating season as the sun exposure provides passive solar heating. The mylar is a bit fragile; I can see spots where the silver has worn away from handling. I will buy again. This is an in-expensive product that will also serve me as a reflectors for my winter grow room.

Nice. Works as advertised. Controls heat. Allows you to see out and prevents others seeing in from a distance in daylight. Semi transparent from the outside at night when backlit. Not very durable. Silver coating will age and rub off. Arrives with some silver thin spots.

Worst Amazon purchase ever. Shiny tissue paper basically. There's a reason the shipping cost is more than the product. Total crap.

The good:It keeps the light out.It keeps the heat out.It matches the dimensions listed in the description.The bad:It looks like I hung an emergency / survival blanket in my windowIn short, it works, but it's horribly ugly. As big a fan of Reynold's Wrap as I am, I have little desire to hang it in my windows. I'll probably end up replacing this when I get a chance.

Arrived quickly, was priced right, and knocks off the morning sun coming through the bedroom blinds. Most other options were a lot higher priced, and this is adequate to get get what we wanted done. Is this rhe fanciest product? No, ot's not, but it's all we need to block excess sun.

This product is fantastic. Living in Florida we get a lot of heat and sunshine. Sometimes it is so hot I cannot even open the door to enjoy sunshine. However with this product not only can I enjoy the natural sunlight and reduce the heat (saves on the a/c bill...lol) but my cats window to the world is available rain or shine! I like it so much I ordered a spare.

These are wonderful for keeping the heat out of my house in the summer time. I did make the mistake of putting them in front of the blinds, next to the window. I do not recommend that these be put first towards the glass. The heat and reflection made burn marks on the pvc pipe that I have for safety measures in my windows. Very concerned when I saw that and was glad my house didn't burn down.
