Generally, when humankind gets ahold of something good, they tend to ruin it. Straus Creamery is the exception where dairy is concerned! Their Full Fat Whole Milk is so delicious and so very good for you! They leave the processing to your digestion instead of putting additives in their milk like all other dairies in the US! Low temperature pasteurization means that the good gut friendly bacterium is alive and well in this milk and the bad bacteria are gone, and grass fed and finished, so no GMO soy here either! This is the way local dairies used to do it, and for good reason, industrial dairy farming is one of the worst things for the human body and the planet. While humanely raised and humanely treated dairy cows produce Uber healthy, keto friendly, gut healthy milk!!

We love this milk and other dairy products from Strauss! This is cream-top whole milk, tastes fresh and creamy! My only complaint is the packaging - almost impossible to get the cream off the top from inside the tiny opening in the plastic jug!

I would rate this as the best milk for lacto vegetarians. No other added nonsense. If you are not aware most milk contain added vitamin A which generally comes from lanolin or oil from sheep wool. I also love the cream on the top. I can make some fresh ghee from that. Though it's a great idea they got the plastic bottles instead of glass during pandemic, but the cream sticks on the top of the can. I really really don't want any cream to be wasted. Another thing is that we get only like 5 days before the milk expired in Arizona. Atleast 2 weeks or 10 days will help. This makes us switch alternatively with grass fed milk. All said and done, this milk is the best and I will be purchasing it.

Straus milk is a family favorite brand, however we prefer to buy it in glass quarts. Those are easy to handle and because it's not homogenized, makes it easier to shake the cream somewhat into suspension. Half gallon glass bottles are difficult to handle and condensation on the bottle after a couple of minutes out of the fridge make them slippery. We only purchased it once before deciding to spend a little more and buy the quarts.Unfortunately, Whole Foods on Amazon only sells it by the gallon. The plastic gallon is easier to handle than the half gallons, but it's almost impossible to shake it up. The cream ends up sticking to the sides of the container and into the plastic handle. We will not be purchasing it here again. At the stores, they usually carry all three sizes.
